ya so i was thinking about writing a assassins creed type story with a historical setting , what you all think ? have not really thought of the details but ya, the idea is still cooking!

What Do I Think?

what you all think ?

I'm thinking: Copyright violation.

I'm fairly sure Ubisoft couldn't care less if someone posted a random fanfic anonymously on a non-profitable website, but as far as I'm concerned that's againts LitEro rules & policies.

Does it ''has to be'' an Assassin's Creed- fanfic?
Couldn't you come up with a more intriguing and imaginable story based on historical events and factions, without the alien-templar-animus-plot?

i said type not animus plot!

say just involve an assassin

and as for copyright violation. There is a website called assassins creed wiki, where the is plenty of fanon's writer by fans

Check out Lit's disclaimer in the Celebrities section:

DISCLAIMER:
The stories in the "Celebrity" section of Literotica are all fictional parodies - none are true, nor are they approved of by the celebrities named in the stories. Authors write these fictitious stories about famous people for the same reason that Larry Flynt made fun of Jerry Falwell, because they can. The Supreme Court of the United States, the country where this site is located, has ruled that parodies involving famous people are perfectly and totally legal under the United States Constitution. The specific case law on this was decided in the case of "Hustler Magazine, Inc. et al. v. Jerry Falwell" in 1988. No harm is intended toward the celebrities featured in these stories, but they are public figures and in being so, they must accept that they are fair target for parodies by the public. We believe in the first amendment, and more broadly, in the basic principle of free speech and this section may push the boundaries of that principle, but the United States Supreme Court has approved of this type of material. We believe that the Supreme Court was correct in their decision.

It seems Lit does allow/protect fanfic within that category as well.

Yet again ...

Lit may allow fanfic, but Lit cannot protect itself or the author if someone chooses to sue for breach of copyright.

The difference is if you write about the fictional private life of Jennifer Aniston that's fine, but if you write about the fictional life of Rachel Green that is breach of the copyright of the owners of "Friends".
