I can understand why people are upset by his interference in the 2016 elections.
But why all this focus on Assange and none on Snowden?
The things that Snowden revealed were far more damaging to the US.
Only a small part of his revelations were about govt. spying on it's own citizens. The bulk were about America's intel operations outside the US.
1. Who is focused on Assange over Snowden? The media. Remember, Assange was a darling of the media before 2016.
2. Then that all changed. I am sure the DOJ is FAR more interested in prosecuting Snowden, but he is unreachable.
Its hard for me to see Snowden as a hero. He has given up very real and damaging intelligence on the US to the Russians. That maybe wasn't his intention when he started, and maybe once the Russians got ahold him he had to or he would disappear forever. But that doesn't matter. When you start down that espionage road, you have to accept that you are going to become a pawn in a much larger game.I still regard Assange and Snowden as heroes, however flawed.

He had three choices: prison, suicide, or Russia. Its hard for me to see Snowden as a hero. He has given up very real and damaging intelligence on the US to the Russians. Well the U.S has a chance to get Assange. Putin is not giving up the traitor snowden
Hope that Bradley Manning is kept in jail as his sentence never should have been commuted.

wiki said:" In "Trial by Jury", he defended the doctrine of jury nullification, which holds that in a free society a trial jury not only has the authority to rule on the facts of the case, but also on the legitimacy of the law under which the case is tried. This doctrine would further allow juries to refuse to convict if they regard the law by which they are asked to convict as illegitimate. "
