I've enjoyed reading submissions on literotica for years and I've always enjoyed writing. I've come to the point where I'm attempting to put together a story of my own. I've managed to get a major portion of the rough draft complete and I've reached a point where I'd like to put what I've completed so far out there to see what people think. On that note I have a couple of questions...

1) Is this forum a good place to post a partially submitted story for feedback/ideas?

2) Is this place generally pretty positive when it comes to critiques? Or is it a bit like throwing Red Riding Hood to a pack of ravenous wolves...

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. :) I definitely appreciate it. It's good to hear that folks are mostly decent around here. Although, after reading some other posts, I think I'll avoid the LW section. :p

I actually did read the thread you posted. Mostly, I didn't want to submit what I have so far because the story itself isn't completely finished. However, it's the first time I've ever tried to do this and I was originally thinking this forum might be a place I could post what I have so far to get a bit of a progress report. Having perused a little more at this point, I'm thinking that this isn't what this section is typically used for.

Again, I greatly appreciate your taking the time to help out the new guy. May your fingers flow over your keyboard creating new masterpieces of erotic storytelling. :)

You can withdraw stories at any time, so if you post something to get some feedback, you can re-submit your work when it is really finished.

Feedback will help you to figure out where you're at in the process and what you still need to finish. But whether you're three pages from finishing or three hundred pages from finishing, at some point you're going to have to get back to working on it, even if you don't have all the answers to your questions.
