Okay, everyone, I'm looking for opinions on erotic asphyxiation. Tell me your experiences. I've recently been introduced to the concept and I can't figure out if I enjoyed it or not, and if I did, does that make me creepy and freaky? (My boyfriend definitely thinks I'm a freak, but then again, he was the one choking me, so what does that make him? LOL) And of course I know no one here is going to censor me or tell me I'm freaky (unless it's in the good way!), I really just want to know what other people think of it.

So, come. Tell me your stories. *sits back and waits*

Asphyxiation, to me, implies death, which isn't hot. I prefer the term breath play.

Whatever you call it, play safely.

Very very scary to me... the thought that if something went slightly wrong that I might be facing a Homicide rap would be enough for me to say no thanks...

Not to mention the fact that even a minor choking can cause some sub dermal bleeding and all it would take then would be a disagreement between two people and a phone call to law enforcement... and at the very least an assualt charge or maybe even Attempted Homicide would result....

So sorry... no story... just my thoughts....

I don't get off on being choked but I might find it a turn on to choke someone else.

Nice inclusion to rough sex, you just have to be careful.

I'd consider it a turn on if a woman enjoyed it but did not necessarily insist on it.

I won't lie I enjoy a firm hand across my throat while my lover is on top of me pounding away at my pussy. Just a bit of pressure there, not enough to actually crush the cartilaginous rings of my trachea, but just enough that I would not want to raise my head off the bed seems to send me right over the edge into a gushing orgasmic bliss.

I'm not talking every time I have sex, but we don't do the exact same thing twice anyway.

But we have and understanding of just how hard he can press and I know he would never truly hurt me. (and he knows just how much I truly need to be hurt)

Actual asphyxiation is dangerous, no two ways about it.

Saw a documentary about this not long ago where a couple were really into this and he ended up killing his girlfriend and going to prision for it. My opinion is have fun with your sexuality but for Christs sake be ultra careful... not my bag baby!

Slut or not a slut

For a woman to accept that she is a slut :nana: to me is an honest woman  for those who are sluts and do not acknowledge the fat or try to hide the truth the only person thye are fooling is themselves. All can see through what she is like and the taling goes on about her behind her back. :p

dead

My childhood friend Alan is dead. He made a simple slipknot in an ace wrap type fabric band, looped it over his closet pole and died jacking off.
Lafayette, Indiana. 1987

An extremely dangerous method, frankly I would not engage in this if I had a medical crash team on standby in the next room!Definently does not fit the
two S's in SSC as it is nither Safe or Sane.

It's been really interesting reading everyone's thoughts on this. It looks like I've found the one sexual thing that really is taboo, even with this group! LOL

And for clarification, to all those who might be concerned, I didn't mean asphyxiation in the sense of completely cutting off all breathing. I've never heard of it being referred to as anything other than asphyxiation, which is why I chose the term.

In the case of what my boyfriend and I played around with, it was firm pressure (not squeezing so tight that arteries could pop), and not right over the throat, more at the top of the neck. I indulged him because I don't like either of us to be discouraged from trying new things, but in retrospect, I wasn't entirely thrilled. If he wants to go for it again I may have to tell him I'd prefer we try something else.

Really, I just wanted to know what the general opinion on it is. I thank you all for your contributions!

Perhaps you could try having your BF put his hand(s) over your nose/mouth instead. You'd need some kind of "signal," as a safe word would be pretty useless if you're unable to communicate it. I've heard of people holding onto a necklace or scarf and then dropping it when they want to stop.

Somehow I did not catch in the beginning of this thread that you tried it without being into it totally and it was your boyfriend's idea...Just make sure why he wants to try this and I hope he never gets too rough with you while having pressure on your neck, you really don't get a second chance at that you know. Just be careful.
