I think if you are looking to be dominated it helps to be naturally submissive from the start but you do not have to be. I think that if you find the right Dom any person can be submissive

most of the time finding one's true submissive nature is an on going and never ending journey

to me the difference between being forceful and being rough is this

rough is part of the play between a Dom and a submissive rough is how he spanks her how he tugs at her hair how he pushes her into a wall and fucks her. Rough is how he physically drives her to her knees

forceful is the tone he uses when commanding what is his for example

I've looked online and some of it is too farmout there for me.

To me it would involve some kind of restraint eg being tied to a bed and having to submit to what my partner wanted nut probably not more than that I guess.

I do own a pair of comfy cuffs - padded handcuffs I was given as a gag gift once. I have never used them though.
