Well, there's nothing anyone can do. It's my life for the next few months...And I'll add some things to the list to shake things up in September.

I can't wait either. It's so hard to be as free when they run about.
Oh I know!! Seems that I get so little work done in the summer months. However, I get to make a lot of cookies during that time so I'm only complaining a little bit. LOL :D

Actually you really should enjoy the summer month with the kids, after all it is the summer, that's what they call it right .

I enjoy it...It just lasts too long. The kids get bored and I get stressed trying to entertain them.

Try having the kids entertain you, have them decide what they want to do, but the catch will be it must be educational, taking a walk and ID' ing trees, or different plants about, know what I mean?

LOL...You've not met my kids. :D

We do educational stuff. There's an awesome children's museum here that they love to visit, we go to the park and try to pick out different kinds of bugs and butterflies, we are often at the library getting books or hearing a story.

BUT, as great as all that is... the kids get bored. They are all really excited about going back to school. Thank goodness all of my girls genuinely like school.

When they get bored, that's where you step in, have them help you with your life, teach them to cook, clean stuff that you feel is holding yourself back from enjoying more time with them, are you following me here?

I guess so.

Don't guess, it is something you should do, it teaches the kids, and helps you along, and then guess what, you have a little more free time to enjoy that boring old summer, with the kids.

So, what do you do with your kids during the summer months?

I took hikes, mind you it was along railroad tracks, not often used, up the local mountains, that sure kept me in shape, took them fishing, I know yuk with the bait, but they'll never starve, they know how to plant veggies and flowers, they know how to wash, all kind ofr common everyday stuff. Are you taking notes? cause there will be a test later in life.

*gets paper and pen out for notes*

Will the test be multiple choice or fill in the blank?

It will be multiple choice, better odds at guessing, remember the summer has just begun, so be sure and do everything possible that you can think of and when you run out of ideas, hey, just asked the kids, they will have more than a few don't you think?
