Asians Thread

Gusty, it's 4:35 am
You must be snoring with your bedwarmer.

No pictures from me today, sorry!
Busy day.

Tomorrow should be better.

Sweet dreams, Patootie pie!

Hi buggawugga, pretty woman,

One day, you will visit Asia. :) You'll connect with the external things that already reside inside of you.

yep that's her... last September when her hair was really short..... she's taking a shower now... so I thought I'd just respond for her... another late night MM??

Oh, sorry I missed these past 2 posts :(

Well, Gusty looks great with short hair, too.

Is that really hong in the red picture? Looks very Asian in the face :)

Gusty Patootie, what do you call these rice dumpling thingies? It seems to be the time of year for them now in Singapore. I love them. I think the leaves make them taste better.

hi mia, it is called zhong zi in mandarine or bah zang in hokkien. It is the time of the year, during 5th month in the lunar calender. The festival is called duan wu.

(burp)

Thanks erc and Gusty :)

Baochunk or bah zang, they are yummy. :)
Our friend's mom makes them for charity also.
My favorite is the one with spicy prawns inside the rice.

Very interesting!

We call dried prawns "hee bee" so similar to "haybi" I think the word "hee bee" came from Hokkien Chinese who settled in the Philippines.

That's cute! Are you going to take him to your new house?

Hey, Gusty, tell hong I finally noticed what bandung is! I was at a hawkers' food center tonight and at the drink stall, I noticed this hot pink drink. Ha ha ha! I wish I had my digital camera so I could take a picture of the sign.

I just stuck to kopi-o but it gave me a tummy ache. :(
