Lovely painting gusty.... Didn't know you can paint well too :)

We have so many geese here and it is creating troubles for the parks and golf courses here lol. Wall street journal even has an article on its front page today.

Mia... love your pictures. Glad to know you still can get your cameras back :) Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.

I'm glad I got my camera back, too, erc!
How are you, cuddly hug magnet?

Hi Gusty :)

Hello!

I have a few pictures of Taal Volcano which is peculiarly shaped. There is a lake inside the volcano. People can even take a tour on a small rowboat inside the volcano.

Edited to add: This volcano is in the city of Tagaytay, about 2 hours outside Manila.

How was your trip? :) We all missed you here

Hi erc and Gusty :)

Hugs to both of you!!!

Sorry I had to go out and get my dog from the kennel. erc, I see you're still keeping Asian hours by sleeping very late!

Gusty that IS a beautiful picture. You and hong are very visual.

This is a picture I took of a bonsai garden near the volcano.

Wow, Lit is so slow today!

Hmm, time to feed the hamsters in the wheel!

Thank you Gusty and MM for appreciating my visuals :D

I went out with a friend today to an area of Beijing that has become the "cool" place to hang out. It is in the traditional center of Beijing with old lanes of old architecture and is called:

Hou Hai (or Behind Sea) for the lake it surounds. I would like to take you all on a picture jouney of an evening that reminds me just how incredibly cool Beijing is as a city.

and we will start with the old Drum Tower built over 500 years ago and towering over this part of the city.......

sorry pics are a bit blurry due to low light conditions

one can rent boats and even eat out on this lake of two parts, and in the Winter there is ice skating here..... There is this cool ancient arched bridge that disects the lake into two parts, and there are alway small boat traffic jams under it......

this boat shop is called Southern Dreams in Chinese and River Romance in English.... notice the drum tower in the distance..
