Who took over Busybody's account?

Oh sure, he looks like BB, acts like BB and posts like BB, mostly. But this BB is not the original BB; the original knew the difference in the usage of then and than. This one...not so much.

Maybe he's getting a little senile? :)

It depends on the language skills of the people he's plagiarizing.

I figure it was a new med, he is nastier in some ways than usual too.

Maybe this should be a game: Will The Real Busybody Please Stand Up?

I've never read closely enough to be able to tell the difference.

I'm what most people here call a lurker; I prefer Observer.

I made an observation.

It's a shrewd observation.

Most social groups have some kind of barrier to entry, which makes it possible to define the group. It might not be much of a barrier, but you can't have a group if there's no difference between them and every one else in the world. If you want to be on a soccer team, you have to know how to play soccer.

What the fuck does all that mean? It means crossing a barrier insures you will find like minded people in the group.

Lit has a very low barrier to entry. All a person has to have is access to a device that is connected to the internet. You don't need to know how to play soccer, or anything else, so it attracts a lot of different kinds of people.

One type that shows up fairly often is the smart guy. He(it's always a he) expects the value of his wisdom to be apparent from the first, so there's no need to explain a lot. He knows he'll quickly have a following of disciples.

It never works that way. As it slowly sinks into his skull, all the hope and joy he once felt as he dispensed his insights, turns to anger an bitterness. Slowly the sarcasm becomes just plain mean and insulting. His audience does not love him, so he hates all of them.
