Evan Leary
Age 27

Evan Leary had finally hit it big. He worked his ass off in college only to land the only investment banking job he could find after graduation, a small finance firm in his hometown. He wanted to go to Wall Street, or Atlanta, or some big finance city where he could get to the top, but the financial crisis severely limited his options, he was lucky to get the job he did. However, after a few years cutting his teeth, and the economy slowly climbing back up, Evan finally got that opportunity in a big city.

He had been working at his new job for about six weeks, and while work was going really well, his social life was not doing so well. He didn't go far away from home for college. and wound up attending the same college as a lot of college friends. Then working in his home town, he didn't ever really get a chance to become a social butterfly, and now in the new city, he was friendless and didn't know anyone outside of work.

Well, that wasn't entirely true. His cousin had lived in the city since college. Evan and her were very close growing up. Extremely close, they were best friends. If they weren't cousins they would have been dating, and each of them knew it. That's why one night when they were teenagers, they gave into their hormones and their feelings and lost their virginity to one another. After their heads cooled, they realized they committed incest, and after that they barely spoke to each other. Once college came around she got the hell out of their hometown and Evan stuck around.

It hurt. Evan lost his best friend. He adjusted fine, but not going off and experiencing life left him in the lonely state he found himself in now. He thought about calling her, but it had been so long and they never talked about it, talking to her now would seem so awkward.

He looked around his quiet, empty apartment and decided.

He grabbed his computer and went to Facebook. He sent her a message saying "We should meet up, soon."

Lilly Brewster
Age: 27

Since graduating college, Lilly was on the fast track in the business world! She was only 27 and had an assistant who kept her schedule for her and made sure she was on time for her appointments, including business and leisure. She had a corner office that over looked down town and made a substantial amount of money.

Yes, life was good.

Lilly had come a long way since moving to the city one day after graduating high school. She just needed to leave that life of what her parents had planned for her in taking over the family business. A small convenience store in a small town. She couldn't see her future there at all.

So she got up and left her family and friends a note, saying she was going to the city. It was like a song really, or maybe a TV special, only Lilly was one of the few fortunate that had actually made it.

Sure she missed her family and friends, but with working as much as she did, she didn't have time for them at the moment, she didn't even make the time to go home to visit.

Another late evening at the office made Lilly wondered if that made her heartless. "No...it just makes you driven!" Her mind yelled at her. She sighed and started at her monitor, she had it opened up to her facebook page, which she hardly ever looked at and saw she had a message from her cousin Evan.

Evan.

God, she hadn't thought about him in a long time! The last time they had talked was when....well...

Lilly felt her face flush as she remembered what they did. It wasn't as shameful as she would've thought it was just...Evan was such a great guy and well, he deserved better. But goodness, that was a long time ago...right?

She opened up his message and read it, "We should meet up, soon."

Furrowing her brows, she looked at his latest information and saw that he was working in the city...in fact, his work was only a few blocks away...

She thought for a moment before responding to his message, "Hi Evan! Sure, let's meet up! I'm getting off of work in another 30 minutes from now if you want to meet at The Winery, it's a small bar located in the Hilton downtown?"

See you in 30.

The words just sat in the reply box. Evan wasn't sure if he could go back down that path, if he could look Lilly in the eyes. He knew that when they both saw each other, they would immediately think back to that awkward night and all of the feelings of fear, lust, love, and anxiety would flood back.

Evan sent the message.

As he got up to go change he thought that contacting her and then blowing her off immediately would be much more awkward then seeing your cousin and childhood best friend, who just so happened to be your first sexual partner, for the first time in nine years. Evan shook his head when he thought about it. It was such a ridiculous occurrence to have happened to him, but it was also such a huge part of his life.

Evan spritzed some of his Dior Homme on his wrists and patted his neck. He continued to think about Lilly. It had been nine years, and well, they both had matured. Lilly and him got along great before their one night together, and maybe if they had been more mature back then it could have led to something.

What was he thinking? They were cousins, it was wrong. He put on a blue button down and gray slacks. He put on a brown sport coat over everything to complete the ensemble and walked out of his apartment. He hailed a cab and got dropped off at the Hilton and walked into The Winery. He ordered an 18 year old single malt neat and sipped it as he waited for Lilly to walk in, nervous but excited.
