Article 13 of the Geneva Convention states that 'prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.'
George Bush stated that Iraq must look after the POW's or those that don't will be treated as war criminals. Tony Blair also mentioned similiar words along with Rumsfeld and Coalition commanders.
Certain news reports from CNN and BBC seem to show convoys cruising past dead Iraqi bodies on the side of the road. Then there is of course the footage of those Iraqi POW's sitting down behind a barbwired makeshift compound. Also I seemed to hear a US soldier walking up and abusing an Iraqi POW. Not to mention the one in the background punching one of them in the head.
Seems to me the cakewalk invasion has suddenly taken a new turn and the reality of war is beginning to sink in to the Allied forces over there.
Time to wake up and face the facts. The Iraqi people are fighting to liberate themselves from being under future control of allied forces.
