People who use cell phones while driving are just as psycho as someone who waves a loaded gun in front of someone's face. They might say they are in control, but its been established though studies that they aren't even close to being aware as a normal unoccupied/focused driver. Geez, is there really that important of an issue in your life most of the time to answer and blab on your cell phone while drving? ( probably not more that 98% of the time). They are already a vices, don't make them a weapon that could hurt somebody.

I can't be the person then. I don't have a DL and I don't have a cell phone. I'm innocent there. :)

always innocent until proven guilty, arent you?:p

hmmm

hehe did everyone think this thread was about what sound/song plays when your cell phone rings? *rolls eyes*

Talking on your cell while using a hands free device is no less dangerous than say eating or singing along to a radio or talking to someone else in the car. Both my hands are on the wheel, my eyes are on the road and I'll make the other person stop talking if I need to.

If I couldn't talk on the phone while driving I'd never talk to most people...my time is limited. I'm going to use every second I have to be doing something like that when I can't be reading or doing something else.

just don't chat on the fucking phone and sit in the left lane doing 55, PLEASE

Exactly, be resourceful, if you know you are going to blab while in the car, plz just buy a handless device. Have common sense like naughty.

cell phones are more of an inconvienence, than convienence. They can cause crashes, if only because people pay less attention to actually looking what's going on around them.

It's illegal in some states to talk while driving unless you have the headset, but even then, the police don't enforce it like they should.

It's illegal in NY

But I question how you can tell if someone's using a headset when they're doing 80.

I'll still maintain that mine brings me so much more conveinence than inconveince. They can cause crashes, but so can turning around to smack your kids who are being brats, looking for a cd, putting on makeup, eating, etc. Don't make it just about cell phones.

I'm not saying the cell phones are causing the crashes, people who can't drive and talk at the same time are casusing the crashes

Aren't you just a real sweetheart! Oh, I think you're a cute little sugar plum!

Hands free and voice activated so with one button it calls the person you tell it to. I still don't usually talk on it when driving in town.
