First I get sick, then my waterbed pops a leak, and now my clothes washer just stops in mid-cycle and refuses to continue! Relatively new Maytag too - arrghh! I bought Maytag because they are supposed to be dependable! Now I've got a bunch of wet and dirty clothes. Yuck.

Actually it started earlier this month when my bike broke down on the California coast in the middle of nowhere and then I got a $130 ticket on the same day.

I know this is minor compared to other people's troubles, but why does it seem such things always happen one right after the other? Well at least I don't have to worry about getting fired from my job since I don't have one - thank God for small blessings.

Damn, a bike that goes too fast and too slow. Hope you've got a waranty on that Maytag.

The ticket was for passing over a double yellow - very easy to get in the mountains of northern California.

Hope you've got a waranty on that Maytag.
I think I have one for parts, but I think labor expires after one year.

I just wanted to say hi. I would ask how you are but the answer to that seems painfully obvious.

:D

Chuck them in a plastic bag and you can come and use my washer......hey, you get a holiday in New Zealand at the same time. :D

You forgot to add that the Maytag madness happens on Memorial Day weekend. No shops will be open, and if you got a service call, it will cost probably two hundred bucks (an hour?).
As for the BMW, you know how I feel on the subject of Nazi bikes! (lol)

If you are not beating your clothes on a flat rock in your bathtub, you can finish them up in my washer.

Take the dial that begins and chooses your cycle, turn and change it to pemanant press, switch your speed to delicate, try to turn it on again. If it starts, then run another cycle on a different setting.

I had a problem like that with mine and the repair man told me that washers are mnt to change cycles and gears will freeze up if in one cycle to long
It fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours
I tried all kinds of stuff and it didn't seem to have any effect, so I took most of the clothes out and after about 20 minutes it just started up on its own. I think what the problem was that I had washed something special in it before (my motorcycle pants) and had the water level set to low when I started a full load. According to the Maytag web site this can cause it to be imbalanced. Who knows? It is working now and that is all I care about.

Thanks.

Hey - they are better than that lawn mower you ride! ;)

Speaking of lawn mowers - you need to mow the lawn again. :D

I got it working - besides, I always know when you are doing clothes; your washer vibrates so much I think we are having an earthquake!

Someday I will - Kiwiland is a motorcyclist's paradise. But right now I have to make do with the west coast. I could come to NZ, but then I would be living on the street for the next six months, or worse, with my parents.

You will have to visit while the "Brass Monkey Rally" is on. Middle of winter and you have to sleep outdoors. Cold but great riding.

Sorry to hear about the shitty day, STG :( I can sympathize with your 'baby' getting hurt. My beloved Van's transmission is starting to go :(

And - Hey hey Mellie! I'll be sending out both your emails this week, since I should be at home this week.

 to you both.
