Argument for keeping pubic hair

The argument that it (removing pubic hair) is actually dangerous makes sense, plus I wonder about the motivation for doing it. Is it that we want ourselves, or our partners, to look pre-pubescent? If so, why?

Funny. The picture of the man shows him clean shaven. Shouldn't the same argument be made for a man's face?

More skin, more sensations

Easy. To get more stimulation. Ask any man or woman who has shaved their head (I haven't but know a few); the bare skin is wonderfully sensitive to the touch and when stroked offers delightful sensations, much more than if you petted their head when it had hair.

In fact, I can't quite understand why the article didn't even mention this as a reason for the removal--never mind the aesthetics. Simply put, and especially when it comes to oral sex, bare skin is going to be more pleasant for the licker and lickee. The person licking isn't licking hair, they're licking skin--making for a much smoother and tastier experience for them--and they avoiding swallowing hair or getting it in their teeth. The person being licked feels the tongue on their naked skin, rather than somewhat on their skin because the hair is there.

This seems like a no-brainer reason for pubic hair removal. More skin = more sensations.

^This.

I personally don't shave to bare skin. I use an electric trimmer and get it just shy of skin. But I don't like having all the hair down there and my partner doesn't like cleaning all the hair out of his teeth after we get busy, and vice versa. I also feel much cleaner when I shave versus when I don't.

Besides, we evolved the puberty hair because we didn't have undies. We have undies now so we need to evolve the hair away. Seriously.

Thank you now I dont have to explain it!

Prepubescent look has nothing to do with it. Hair in the mouth is unpleasant.

That said I do shave, but not daily and I understand we have hair for a reason. If its going to be a freaky free for all kind of night, its worth it. ;)

This is also part of it apart from the sex. This was what the Doc was talking about when she referred to the hairless models and bikinis and whatnot. The introduction of deodorants and the anti-sweat camp is a similar thing.

And, the same argument could be made for women shaving their legs and armpits.

Anyone who thinks that an adult, shaven pussy looks like a pre-pubescent one hasn't seen many pre-pubescent pussies.

Which is a damn good thing, when you think about it. Continue to not!

...I'm a fan of a little pubic hair.

Not tons. One should keep it under control. But women doing the shaving thing has never really done it for me.

That said: A woman should do what she wants with her own body. So should a guy.

I think someone's supposed to be offended by this... but I'm not really sure... :D

I'm very much in the pro-pubes camp. The hairier, the merrier! Indeed, my latest-submitted story (not posted yet, but look for it in a day or two) is on just this topic. Hairy pussy fans unite, we may be outnumbered but we're not alone! :)

It might be useful to point out that the Norelco rotary Trac 2 electric razor shaves hair to below skin level, but the blades never touch the skin. This seems to overcome the argument about 'open wounds.'

Well, not quite. It's unlikely that a woman is going to encounter herpes on her legs or armpits and so the protection of the hair in such places (or so argues the article) are not as important.

You know, the article also fails to mention the pitfalls of pubic hair. Like crabs.

I don't think that's what my doctor had in mind when she said I should be getting more fibre in my diet.

I guess I am not worried about herpes, or crabs, because I am not inclined towards multiple partners. Shaved or not, if my partner is sleeping around without my knowledge, its probably going to come out after I contract the std.

Stds dont seem to be a strong support for the shaving argument. Open wounds however can be. Any wound is not a positive thing health wise. Lol

My ex prefered hair. It seems to be a pretty even split among the guys I know.

Concur.

Mark me down for God given pussy.

And I would try getting a razor close to my balls ...

Why all the hostility for tightening up the fade?

I say be a responsible man or woman and at least buzz it down, I'm not talking bald, just shorter, like this much: |--| at most.

Fros are not in style anymore.

Seriously, what's so sexy about grabbing a handful of pubes and tugging on them?

For me, there is nothing sexier than a deep, lush forest of curls to run my fingers through. You don't agree, and that's fine. But just because you don't understand why some of us like it doesn't mean it makes no sense.

Oh noes! Shaving pubic hair is a health epidemic! Everybody panic!

Bullshit article, IMO. And the pre-pubescent argument is idiotic. Sorry, pubic hair is not the sole visual indicator of adulthood, and sexually mature humans generally do not resemble children.
