Just wondering how many of us are tuned in to Lit while we're working.

I work at home, and I work a lot, so I generally flit in and out of here quite a bit during the day and evening. I really love having you all here to visit with.

I am supposed to be working, in theory. But in practicality I have nothing to do right now, so I am goofing off all morning until I have some actual work to be doing.

Although having work to do doesn't always stop me from showing up, not having anything to do always guarantees my appearances :D

Normally I would be working, but I'm on vacation this week. I can access the web from my phone, but not Lit. I usually just check email once a day but that's about it. Other than that, I have no internet access while I'm at work.

Probably a good thing too cuz I'd never get any work done otherwise. :)

I also work at home. I actually need to be here more, if only because that means I am sitting at my computer instead of in front of the TV. Yes, the Civil War documentarys are interesting. But they won't pay any bills.

If I have time to be on the computer and play on the Net while at work... I probably shouldn't be at work.... I'm at my desk maybe for an hour each day... Other than that, I'm all over the hotel.... There's a firewall on my computer and they are watching anyway....

So if you see me posting on Lit, I'm at home...

It would be better for me not to be here, because it really cuts into my production sometimes. However, I think it helps me stay sane.

Oh, and I'm sitting right at the computer all the time, so it's really hard NOT to pop in here now and then.

and I'm so glad you do.... :rose:

Another thought: I feel really isolated working at home, so that's another reason I like to visit with all of you. It's a huge change from my last "real" job, where I worked in a large department, with most of my coworkers as good friends. We had a lot of freedom, and there was quite a bit of socializing. I really miss that.

I'm retired, so it doesnt matter.

I recently published a story that includes something I picked up on-line. So I find that banter and chatter is a source for story ideas.

You betcha.

But I'm the boss of me so I decide when to take breaks...even though I should be writing reports, letters and making phone calls and stuff...

Muahahaha! I'm suppose to be typing a proposal for Amy right now! Screw her - I'm taking one of my couple of dozen daily Lit breaks! Bitch told me last night that I get paid with sex instead of money, so I guess saying "screw her" is kind of like giving myself a raise! :D

Seriously though, when I was stuck in bed this fall (and Amy was at work and the kids were in school) having interactions with the pervs here helped me keep the small amount of sanity that I started with...

I hear ya. And even when the kids come home, you still need interaction with adults. I adore my kid, but I can only listen to her yak about who barfed and who farted and who got on red today for so long.

Another work at home person checking in:)

I am a artist and my drawing table is next to my computer. when I need a break from what ever painting I am working on. I simply spin my chair around to the computer. Somedays It eems I spend more time on the computer than working... Thats OK I know the boss.

That's when I tune into Lit. To take breaks from work. But since I'm now self-employed, there isn't too much guilt attached to that.

I fix computers here at the house :D
Spend time using my computer to scan customer hard drive. Have to do something while the scan is running :D

I am working home from today. Had I been at the office, I would be blocked from here unless of course I had a "business need" to visit here ;)

I don't technically 'work', so my time is my own.
I do have a routine that I try to follow each day though.
About this time I take a break and check in here.
