Reactive for sure.

Fairly shy in a but-you-wouldn't-know-it kind of way in real life, and it's not that much different here. Unless I know people well already.

Which isn't the best thing, really.

An interesting question.
I real life I am the absolute worst at messaging and replying. I much prefer face to face. But even then I can be a bit reclusive by most peoples standards.

So on Lit?
It varies depending on how I feel.
In a previous Lit life I had a pic thread and was definitely reactive back then.

These days I am very quiet, mostly lurking in the background. So the likelihood is I’d be proactive if I wanted a chat, or something was interesting. But I’m still bad at keeping things going.

Every now and then I have natural chemistry with someone. Then I just don’t even think. Everything just flows.

I hardly ever initiate conversations. But then, I'm equally antisocial offline, and don't typically go out of my way to engage other people. The older I get, the less energy I have to interact with people and guess at their motivations, what they want/expect from me, and to actually meet those expectations. It's why, on those rare occasions when someone does message me, I'll reply (given there's reason to do so), but I rarely make an effort to keep the exchange going. I make the minimum investment and (most) people just deserve better.
