Well it's at least a nicer way to say it than your way of saying that you wouldn't help a person who's drowning. I guess that they didn't teach you good manners in the german navy.

Well, I did follow the rules, all my pics, as stated earlier were leagal. Before I posted them, I made sure that there would be no copyright problems.

You entrust the thread starter and those who post as well, to make sure that we check and make sure were not posting copyrighted stuff, for you to come and delete a whole thread because you dont have the time to check the thread to make sure is no copyright problems, is rude and unfare.

I'll agree, that you do this on your own time, and that your not getting paid, but to say that you only check on things that intrest you sounds unfair. Hell, I bet I could start another thread, and if the title didn't intrest you, you'd may never know what I was posting.

Yet seeing how I rub you wrong, I wouldn't be suprised if you did check out threads I started, just to see if you can delete them. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have heard from many people that it has been the case of many moderators to do that to people they don't like.

Well, carrying this debate on with you is senseless, you could care less what I think, and thats ok. . . . theres no love loss here either. I'll just go and post on the General Board, no moderators there.

Roughneck - you seem to operate under the false, yet common assumption (I've heard the argument before) that when you pay to access a site, you can do whatever you like with the images that you download. That is simply not the case. If that were true, pay sites would have a membership of one or two paying people...and those people would just repost the pictures on a free site for others to download for nothing - it just doesn't make sense.

There are basic guidelines that Laurel gave me...and those are: If the pictures were not taken by or of the poster, we don't want them on the site. That's a direct quote. If you disagree, take the issue up with Laurel. And please carefully read the stickies that were placed at the front of the Am Pic section - especially the posts regarding the Berne Convention - which covers intellectual property and copyrights. Just because a picture does not state that it is copyrighted, does not mean that it is not.

Roughneck, the main purpose of what we moderators do is not to spoil anyone's fun. It's not to keep people from sharing pics that they like. And it's not to argue with people as to what does and does not constitute a copyrighted picture. What we have been asked by Laurel to do is simply to keep Literotica as free as possible from the possiblity of litigation. Lawsuits can be expensive, and they can (and would) force Literotica to shut down. I don' t want that...do you?

Well I'm not one of those, if you go look, you'll see that your threads are still there. As I said I'm here on my free time, and I don't hunt down threads with copyrighted pictures in them. That would take a huge amount of time I would prefer to spend doing other things.

I don't understand the hoopla in the first place. The forum was created for memebers of Lit to post pics of themselves for others to view - it's not meant for pics of people not on Lit. If it's not you, don't post it without permission - how hard is that?

I really didn't follow the rule just because I didn't notice the warning before I started my very first thread.

I've uploaded hundreds of pics i've collected throughout the net, 100% were posted in several amateur voyeurism/exhibitionism sites. All these sites I've visited are free sites and I simply assumed I was free to download and post elsewhere.

I was wrong. Accidentially. Call me ignorant.

Months later I received a PM by Nigel who informed me about the rule and asked me in a very kind and polite manner to remove all my pics in order to avoid the total removal of that entire thread.

While trying to understand (please remember I'm German) and getting more info about the copyrights issue I had to care about some things in RL. To make it short I didn't had the time to remove tens of pics in that thread and I had to realize I must have crossed a deadline, unknown to me, so I somehow forced Nigel to remove the entire thread.

My apologies to Nigel and other monitors for their extra effort.
My apologies to Lit for causing this kind of trouble.

And my special cordial apologies to all those nice and friendly people who posted their private pics, following the rules, but were left alone by this ignorant thread host.
I'm sorry that your pics are lost, hopefully you still have them on your HDs.
If so, I would like to see them again somewhere else in other proper threads.
If not, feel free to PM me anytime. I filed most of them under the originally given name, size and extension and I'm ready to send them back to you. The least I can do for you.

Other than that I'm running out of words to express my apologies.

Couldn't have expressed my sentiments any better...great to see you back Rex...and we did have some great times with those pics way back when. I guess this must have been the Bend Over thread....oh well...arches is gone and expressions is gone... it's too bad we just couldn't eliminate the earlier days on these threads as everyone has been in compliance for the last month or two.....

That's the point, kids. The point of this section is for Lit members to post pics of themselves and get feedback. Amateur Pic Feedback. Get it?

Doesn't really matter if you get permission to repost a copyrighted image - it deviates from the purpose of the board and from the rules of the forum....and is not wanted by Laurel..who runs Literotica.

Take pics of yourself or loved ones and post them....and trade web pics via email or some other forum.

I've got a headache now....but I'm hoping that it sinks in.....
