Am I loved?

Loved, yes...the way I want to be, yes...by the person I want to be loved, I don't know--doubtful.

But I love her, more than she'll ever realize.

Ah yes, close to my quandry, I think. I am loved, but cannot return her love. In turn I am in love, but she cannot return that love. And I suspect she loves someone who cannot return her love.

Why is it so hard for some of us to be loved by and love the same person? So much heartbreak, so much love given in vain.
