So I have a question for everyone out there. I've seen lots of threads from people who are in crises and whatnot, but how many people are honestly happy and content?

I would have to say that I am. I have a job that I enjoy, a wonderful wife who doesn't mind that I "play" online, I have a house, my 2 cats are great, I get along with my family (which includes the in-laws), so I would have to say that I'm pretty content. That isn't to say that I don't struggles and trials once in a while, but I would have to say that for me the Win column is a little higher then the lose column.

Am I an anomaly? Or is there a silent majority that are, for the most part, content?

Hi Welcummmmmmm to Lit and I am just in a good mood today so I am spreading some Joy Dust and blowing in   's on Lit.....;) :rose:

Nah.. your not an anomaly.. Being happy is a choice.. a state of mind.. an existance one chooses to have..

I consider myself quite happy and content.. but then.. I have a great sense of humour.. lol

I think people that tend to be unhappy.. focus too much on the negative.. We all have things that.. if pondered on too long.. could make us despondent..

Of course.. this is a dependant upon the hormone cycle for me:D.

Welcome... stay happy.

Hi Chris,
I am a happy person too. Life is way too short and challenging to dwell on the negatives for too long. I always hate the "is the glass half full or half empty" question. I think neither...I am a realist....it is both half empty and half full!!! I think you can be a very happy person if you choose to make that a priority. Yes, life can be hard but it can be so great too!! Without the lows...the highs dont seem as amazing!!!

I think I'm a realist too. Just because I'm generally happy doesn't mean that I'm oblivious of bad things that happen to or around me. I just choose to deal with them in a positive manner. It often pains me to see friends who are dwelling on things that are negative, when they have so much more going for them that are great.

I am pretty much happy!

I am happy but there are several things that I would change if I could. I have a good paying job that really sucks, and makes me work nights/weekends and takes me away from my son way too much. He is having a difficult time adjusting to school this year and really needs my attention, which I cannot give him enough. I have a wonderful man that is far away and we can not be together at this time, but still very happy and I know that one day we will be together and my home life will be so good that even if my work life is not, it won't really matter!

I'm not happy, I'm not content, but I'm working on it.

Only time will tell...

Just a little tap.....

Just a little bump before I go to bed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful night.
