I love the nature freaks.

Funky diets, herbal this and that, nature walks, simplicity.

Check in here. What makes you crunchy granola?

I used to be very crunchy granola. I was vegan and I would not put any man made chemicals into my body. Now I am semi crunchy. I do not like taking most medications if there is a homeopathic solution. I do however smoke and I eat meat. I prefer organic meats that are less harmful to me and the environment though. When my budget allows I shop completely organic, I am HOOKED on After the Fall juice, even though it is way expensive, it is the only one that really tastes like juice to me. I love Kashi cereal and soy products too, I still will take a good tofu pup over a hot dog any day. I am a walking oxymoron.

I guess it is just you and me kid.

Here. Lets smoke a hickory nut.

lol....pretty much what Kitte said.

organic when I can get it
whole foods over all
local from the farmer's market is best
I eat Tofu Pupps when I want it quick and processed

I've been a vegetarian for years and I vegan part of that. Always figured humans as omnivores but able to survive without meat. Now I'll have some but prefer free range usually lamb or fowl. This is the time of year I tend to eat it most. I think I'm preparing for winter.:)

Granola's good.

So's lobster and cheesecake.:p

My older son is vegetarian and my whole family freaks out when he attends family functions like Thanksgiving. I figure he can sort himself out, and just make sure I've got a few extra vegetable casseroles and such.

I'm more a grits girl than granola.......oh, that's another thead. Sorry.....

I always knew I liked ya, weed.

I am a lacto ovo. Nothing that once had a face, or muscle, for that matter. I eat alot of organic, but not exclusively, and still have some nice refined sugar products.

Oh, and sex is organic.

Somehow it doesn't surprize me that you would give in to milk and eggs.;)

It's getting easier and easier to get and afford some organics. Especially local during the growing season. Time to store up some winter squashes, dried beans and spuds now.

I don't really eat eggs that much, a little cheese here and there and milk only rarely. It is too much of a pain to try to buy things without them in ingredients.

I agree on the storing up on some stuff. A little planning goes a long way with the longer-staying stuff. I had some acorn and other squash last an awful long time last year.

It's very hard to find things without dairy....seems there's always a little whey or casein thrown in. And, dang it all, why are the veggie marshmallows so hard to find?

I do sometimes, occasionally, have a don't ask don't tell policy.

I just got a job as a manager at an organic foods supermarket (again), and even though one needs a little rubbish in one's life now and again, the 'regular' food on most supermarket shelves scares the daylights out of me. I like how in the Pathmark near my place in the US has a small section labelled "natural food". So what exactly is the rest of it..?

I'll eat organic occasionally, but I don't exactly like to give into liberal stereotypes. Now where are my Birkenstocks?

That is the very best invitation to breakfast I have ever gotten. :D

You're on.

Don't you just love some of those ingredients that sound like a chemistry experiment?

Hey - I've been vegetarian since I was 12 yrs old. Though I eat fish these days, I'm still committed to eating organic (when possible) by supporting local farmers and generally eating healthy. Come to think of it, though, I don't eat granola that much.

Granola can be too heavy. I like Spoonfuls. It's like the organic version of Life.
