Are you at work?

Call me a complete technological imbecile, but if you read from Literotica, which is considered a porn site, aren't you worried about getting caught (i.e. - fired)?

I work at a university and would love to be able to access Lit during the day. Is there a way to do this without worry?

Thanks for your help.

Do you have a written internet policy at work? If it prohibits you from accessing the internet at work for personal reasons, then you had best be careful. If not, then you can probably get away with it until they change the policy.

Just be sure to erase your tracks when you leave, especially from porn sites. You will have to use the help function from your browser to determine how to do this. Keep in mind that it will always be present in your profile log.

Now why would I call you an imbecile? I'm in a bit better situation than you, as I am the owner of two companies, and thus.................no one to watch over me (unless I hire someone taller than 6; 3", LOL)

My advice? Save your reading for a time that does not threaten your source of income.

Yes, I'm at work. No, I'm not worried about getting caught on Lit.

#1 - No one cares. My office is a division of a corporation, and we have 4 people running this facility, including me. We're a pretty tight bunch. Even if they knew, they wouldn't tell anyone. They've been known to surf porn, too.

#2 - If I did think anyone would mind, I don't believe anyone in this office knows how to find out where I've been on the 'net. I delete cookies, history, cache files, etc every night before I leave. And my computer is set up to do a free-space wipe after I leave; meaning no "un-delete".

Besides, the people I work with don't even know how to hook up a printer.

Yep, I post while at work. I guess that's the beauty of being your own boss though. I don't spend countless hours on here, but I do multitask. Currently I have about 7 windows open, and I switch back and forth between them to do certain things. I take quick breaks, and in downtime I will post on here.

I don't have 'net access at work...and if I did...I'm not sure I'd log on here....someone would be bound to find out...and that just wouldn't work for me.

i have access to the net from my room at uni - hmmm sometimes i think it would be embarassing if they'd catch but them im sure im not the only student surfing porn

Halo :rose:

I used to work at a uni, and we didn't check to see what people were surfing for. The only time we caught anyone was when they did that in an open lab and someone complained. Then we got to embarass them. That was always fun. And yes, I know, I am a hypocrite for it. ;)

Everyday, I work at home! :p

It's as close as the click of a mouse while I'm doing my work, so why not?

I'm my own boss, so unless I get a glob all over someones finished work, I'm not likely to get fired anytime soon.

Lo

I surf here from my work studio.... I'm the boss so I do what I want .....

I don't think I "glob" like Lobito does, but I have tissues handy ;)

Work at home too :p

Like BlkPnthr I've got 7 windows open... that help until the computer froze because of lack of memory...lol...

As for those who thinks that are pretty safe: Deleting "internet cache and history", will not protect you... your PC keeps records of all your online and off-line activities.
Even your ISP knows (and keep every tracks) of every website you visit... they can even intercepted some ICQ messages exchanges... so be careful we are always watched!!!!!
