Are you a walking billboard? --or-- Can these Old Navy/Gap commericals get any worse?

First off, Morgain Fairchild just needs to shut the fuck up. She's hot, I don't need to hear her sing abuot performance fleece or carpenter pants or any other substandard product she's hocking these days.

Secondly, are you one of those people who proudly wears clothes emblazoned with the manafacturers logo? Does it make you feel cool to wear pre-faded Abercrombie and Fitch 'XXX' t-shirts? You really ought to be paid to wear these clothes, not the other way around. It really doesn't affect me outside of annoying the fuck outta me. Seriously. It seems to be mostly kids that are guilty of this, but those kids'll grow up and carry on the torch. Will we see business suits with Tommy Hillfiger stitched across the lapels in inch high print? Fuck.

If I buy those clothes, I usually don't get anything with the brand's name as the logo of the shirt, but everyone else knows what I'm wearing anyway.

But I haven't bought any clothes in long time because I'm a broke college student.

Melly

I try not to wear shirts with obvious logos on them. Sometimes I just havent doen the laundry, so i might wear one in public. I refuse to buy them, they have to be given to me as gifts. i hate the idea of paying someone else to advertise for them.

Like the Jack in the Box antenna balls. THAT was fucking genius! But I still refuse to buy one or put one on my car.

Just randomly, I knew a girl named Melly in junior high. Was obsessed with that guy from Queen....forget his name. Either him or Jim Morrison. Been awhile.

I'm a walking billboard, but I refuse to let Old Navy or Gap into my home.

I lump Old Navy, Gap, Nike,Reebok, A&F, FUBU, etc together. All filled with their stupid logos.

I don't buy things because of commercials at all. I buy them because they are comfy on me. But I still can't stand Gap or old navy commercials. all others I just tolerate

What a sellout Willie Nelson has become. I never would have thought he would become a corporate whore for the likes of the gap.

I usually wear just plain old colored T-shirts with a pocket on the left side...... HEll, I won't even buy a new car from the dealer unless they take their name off the back. Sometimes they don't, so I take it off before I leave and throw it on the ground.

My kids and myself are walking billboards..

Sorry.. but I prefer to spend my money on quality clothing and shoes. So far.. I've found Old Navy, Nike, Reebok and Adidas wear better and longer than WalMart brand.

Plus.. it's what everyone else is wearing. :) ;)

Advertising is fucking everywhere. It is on the handle of the gas pumps. Laminated on the floor of the grocery store. It will be on our foreheads soon.

I hate it.

Ah yes I can see it now: This is Jack, he is sponsored by General Mills, McDonalds, Blockbuster Video, and Target.

Hell I see cars nowadays that carry advertising on them.

Usually in the ghetto.

I shop the name brand sales. I spend less than i would at Wal-Mart and the clothes don't fade or come apart 20 washes later. I try to avoid logo's though mostly because I don't like how they look. If I'm going to spend my money its going to be on a quality that will last.

as a designer of logos it would be stupid for me to say I hate those types of things

I am with freaky...

Old Navy has the best selection of clothes, and some of the most durable, long lived clothes I've ever had the grace of owning.
Here Gap clothes are crap and fall apart constantly.

Logos are not important to me, no, but quality is.

Seriously? I didn't know that.

Hate Old Navy, Gap, A & F. I wear plain old Lee jeans & shirts that I steal from my sweetie. At work, I wear the clothes that we sell in our store, mostly black, no logos. For camping & outdoor stuff, we buy from the Army/Navy surplus. Old Navy, Gap & A & F stuff wouldn't survive a weekend on a real camping trip. My son went through a brief Hilfiger phase for about 6 months back in the early 90's when he was in middle school. Realized the clothes weren't any better than Bugle Boy & BB had the kind of pockets he needed for his audio visual stuff, plus Hilfiger didn't hold up that well.

Watching tose awful commercials makes me miss George & Weezy doing the Denny's commercials.

The hieracrchy goes Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic in terms of quality and price. I prefer logo-less Old Navy clothing to most of the others, but I do have some Gap and some BR stuff too.

None of it has a logo or crest.

I never look for the logos.. I just buy what I like. And I buy for my kids what they like and want.

99% of school shopping this year was done at Old Navy.
