Have you ever won anything? Contest/sweepstakes/lottery? [if the latter, please mail your name, address, photo and signed power of attorney to me ASAP] ;)

I was just reading the rules for a game and I have always wondered about this... why do Canadians have to answer a math question?

Here is the disclaimer on a recent contest: "If you are a Canadian resident, you must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question as a pre-condition to being qualified as a potential prize winner. This is required by Canadian law."

Why?

If it's anything more complicated than basic addition, subtraction, multiplication or division I would be screwed. And not in a good way.

Talk to me, people.

I used to have a way to beat computer based roulette machines if that counts

My best friend was once dealt a Royal Flush in video poker, a fact he now feels compelled to remind me about every time we visit a casino.

Yeah, don't get me started on casinos, Rob. Why is it that I can never walk away with cash in hand? Greedy me will stay till I give it all back.

I'll play the slots when in Vegas. The most I've ever won was $300 on a quarter slot machine.

It was on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine. Heh... : )

I was So Flippin' Excited!

Thank you for answering the question Eve. LOL

Mona, that's awesome. I won once. The slot went dark... instead of lighting up and having all the bells and whistles. I thought I broke it!

Won a handheld gps from a large fundraising lottery once. I subsequently passed it on to a litster whom needed it more than I. Now of course I've gone completely round the bend and have a gps unit on my barbeque ffs.

That probably comes in handy if the neighborhood dog makes off with your steak.

I just destroyed five enemy tanks in World of Tanks.

I won $160 in nickels back in 1975 at the airport slots in Reno at about 7pm. That's a lot of fucking nickels. They wee all gone by 2am.

I only play where skill and/or knowledge decides. I prefer to lose fair and square.

I walked into a casino once with £1500

8 minutes later at the blackjack table I felt sick

So no, I'm not a player :(
