There are certainly family members and friends that I would never hear from if I didn't call, write or email first. I really don't know why. Could it be that we just get so wrapped up in our own lives that we forget about others?

My sister is the worst offender. If I don't call ever few days, she'll make snide remarks about not keeping in touch. Yet she won't pick up the phone to call, or, heaven forbid, stop by since she only lives 10 minutes away.

Why is this? Am I the maternal figure in my little circle of life?

Do you have to be the Master Communicator with certain people?

Discuss. . .I'll be sitting here wondering when my phone might ring again. . .

My mom is that bad....If I didn't initiate then she would never call. Then it's " Honey, I never hear from you and the kids". Drives me nuts sometimes...but I know she has alot to do, so I never say anything.

I never used to say anything. . .now when she answers the phone I usually start off with, "Thought I'd better check in before I get yelled at again". . . She thinks I'm being funny.

i usually call my mom first, mostly b/c I free time on my cell and she doesn't have any free moments

I'm quite bad at it. I neglect to call people...or write emails. It's most likely a combination of being lazy...and for want of someone to *want to contact me first.

But....I'm odd like that. <shrug>
