Actually, I always thought He-man and Skeletor had some sort of secret homosexual love affair going. Plus they rode around on thos lions like Sigfried and Roy or something.
61. You tight rolled your jeans.
Can I just scream?

Fuck me - I'm a child of the 60's but I watched and loved Fraggle Rock! No-one will dis on tha show as long as I'm alive!

Guess that makes me weird/ (that's rich bein on this site!).

short-term memory probs

"By the power of Grey-Skull"

he was sooooo gay, as was Skeletor. Missscarlet has it right.

Long list of things you may/maynot like - but what about the things you love from the 80's?

Madness - great music.

UB40 - more great music

Squeeze - even more great music!

I didn't get some of the more American ones here but yupI am so a kid of the eighties.

Brits will remember "ahhhh ahhh ahh ah ahhh looking for the cities of gold" and dogtanian and 80 days around the world. Ahh real cartoons *L*

And I sang "Shot throughthe heart" out loud. *chuckles*

Fraggles do rock though.

And I used to play as She-ra in infant school :)

God - I'm old! Whacky Races, proper Scooby Doo - now there's cartoons.

EL - I watched he-man as a student. Lookin forward to meetin a young woman!!!!!

I loved He-man. I was only in infant school when it was about though *L*

How about thundercats? :D

3. You can sing the rap to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-air", and can do the "Carlton".

Know the words, but can't even get close to awkward enough to do the Carlton.

In West Philadelphia born and raised
on the playground where I spent most of my days
chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
and all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
when a couple of guys said "we're up in no good"
started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
and said "you're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air"

12 It was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. Road Runner & Wille Cyote were the best.

Gotta agree on those - they still make me giggle like a fiend, although I've probably seen every single Roadrunner cartoon at least five or six times.

..and still know the turtles names.

Guilty, although I never saw the movie in the theater. My oldest son was crazy about the turtles when they first came out, and now the youngest is caught up in them, too.
Blue: Leonardo
Purple: Donatello
Red: Raphael
Orange: Michaelangelo (both of my boys favorite)
I know the word to the theme song, too, but in my defense, I think it comes from so many damn years of hearing it over, and over, and over.....

22. You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF"
:D Daniel-san

23. You wanted to be a Goonie.

Have the movie - 'nuff said. (I still think about that movie when I see a Baby Ruth bar)

25. You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off and his cheeks shifted.

I remember what he looked like when he was five.....tells my age.

30. You remember Hypercolor t-shirts. They were so cool, till you washed and dried them, then they were just pink shirts

Those were cool!!!

35. After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know you are, but what am I?" Poor Pee-Wee, such a misunderstood pervert

The Big Shoe Dance....to Tequila!!!!!

36. You remember "I've fallen and I can't get up"

This still induces fits of laughter....

55. You just sang those words to yourself. Damn, I did

Got me, you did.

56. You remember watching Magic vs. Bird.

Hell yes!!! Don't even get me started on the Lakers vs. the Celtics...we'll be here all day. Liftime Lakers fan. (short aside: I met Magic Johnson one time, and I only came up to his waist, honestly)

65. You had big hair and you knew how to use it.

I'll never, ever confess to this.

But, I don't understand  I'm a child of the 70's.....

The 80's will never die as far as I'm concerned, but I was a punk.....off to listen to Siouxsie with Charley....and smoke some clove cigarettes.

and yes, my hair was huge!!!! Long Live Aquanet.

For those of us who wore black on the outside cause black is how we felt on the inside. I'm talking about tall black hair, black jelly bracelets, studded belts and granny boots, oh yeah baby.;)

Siouxsie and the Banshees-Kiss Them For Me

It glittered and it gleamed
for the arriving beauty queen
a ring and a car
now you're the prettiest by far
No party she'd not attend
no invitation she wouldn't send
transfixed by the inner sound
of your promise to be found

"Nothing or no-one will ever
make me let you down"

Kiss them for me -- I may be delayed
Kiss them for me -- if I am delayed

It's divoon, oh it's serene
in the fountains pink champagne
someone carving their devotion
in the heart shaped pool of fame

"Nothing or no-one will ever
make me let you down"

Kiss them for me -- I may be delayed
Kiss them for me -- I may find myself delayed

On the road to New Orleans
a spray of stars hit the screen
as the 10th impact shimmered
the forbidden candles beamed

Kiss them for me -- I may be delayed
Kiss them for me -- I may find myself delayed

Kiss them for me -- Kiss them for me

Kiss them for me -- I may find myself delayed

OhMissScarlett - you are great.

nice AV butt by the way
Thanks, someone called it 'your big ass AV the other day', lol.
I don't remember an awful lot from the 70's, that six years I spent there is kinda foggy.

I do remember:
Electric Company
The Letter People
Disco(still trying to forget that)
too much polyester
my mom listening to Barry Manilow constantly.
our conversion van with the blue velvet interior
seeing Star Wars at the drive-in

I was about to make a long response of which ones a child of the 70's recalled, but Cloudy beat me to it eloquently.

Hold to to your photos from this era--they will greatly amuse your children someday.
