Are women more mature than men?

Conversation I was having with someone. Their opinion is that women are more mature and thus prefer women to men( they are pansexual).
I disagreed given that I've seen a ton of women be immature.

I think it's more down to the individual than sex though. Maybe even down to the topic and situation as well. .

Down to sex at an early age, then individual for a while and then I believe it could change depending on age as we all mature.

Life impact makes a huge difference. When I hit late 30 I split with no ex. This sent me into a spiral and was probably as immature and high at taking risk as ever. But now - grounded more senior executive and a leader. But still different at home and in the bedroom.

I think in general, most women I know of my age (45) are far more responsible, collected, self aware than most men. Partly I think that is due to social conditioning. And partly I think men allow themselves to be lazy when it comes to analysing their own feelings.

I don't believe it should be this way, but within my sociology (UK) that's common.

I think it's an individual thing. You can act in an immature fashion while still being a mature person overall. How they were raised, their personal experiences and their personal outlook can all contribute to how mature they are.

Yup men do stupid shit but they let it go. Women never let anything go.

Women are sometimes their own worst enemies. I chalk it up to poor socialization. Straight women often feel the need to compete with each other for the attention of men. Unless they can get over that, they'll forever be as naughty children.
I recommend more team sports or activities for girls & women, to learn better to be able to let things go... remember we're on the same team.
I've been lucky to have worked under mostly great managers. Both men & women.

Men and women are more mature at different things and situations, such as the difference between handling a fire crisis, earthquake, etc. or a mental health, autistic, and similar issues.

The gender war is in a very bad state ATM, with both sides claiming their own is more mature and superior.

Generally speaking, I say, yes, this is true. Women tend to be more mature than men, certainly at a younger age. When I was writing about this very topic more than two psychiatrists told me that a 17-year-old girl is more likely to think like a 21-year-old woman than a 17-year-old boy will think like a 21-year-old man. But, of course, that's not always true.

I happen to love women. I'm grateful for the ones in my life. If there's a weakness they suffer from, it can be their emotions and, sometimes, the ability to overthink things. But this weakness is similar to men, who can be vulnerable to their brawn and, sometimes, their dick.

I have been close to leaving her standing in an airport before because of a stupid rant in front of an entire gate full of people.
I told her afterwards you ever do that again you will be left standing here alone and papers will be served as soon as I can arrange it.
Of course then you get the crying breakdown apology afterwards.
