Are we normal?

I've always wondered how normal my sexual relationship with my significant other compares to the rest of the world. I'm not really insecure about it, as we have awesome sex by my standards. It's just that we don't really do it like everyone else seems to.

First, we rarely have penetrative sex. We can go a whole year one a single box of condoms, yet still have 'sex' twice a week. It's usually oral sex and/or mutual masturbation. I'm not bragging, but I'm about 8 inches long, and she bleeds just about every time we have penetrative sex and she's not ovulating (from how I understand it, a woman is deeper when she's ovulating). We're not totally grossed out by it, but she does say it hurts.

Also, went I say oral, I mean she does me orally. She won't let me go down on her. She used to, but several years ago she asked me not to anymore. She says it's gross. I don't mind it at all, and she used to have really good orgasms when I did. Not to say she doesn't now, however. Every time we have sex, she is able to climax. And they are good ones too- the kind that make her body convulse like she's being electrocuted and screaming and grunting and the whole bit. From what I understand, she's lucky to be so in tune with herself to be able to do that consistently.

Like I said, we have a great sex life. It just seems, I don't know, different that what everyone else describes as theirs. I'm not thinking of changing anything, just curious as to how different we really are from the norm.

I really wouldn't worry about it. I very rarely have penetrative sex, either.

If she bleeds more than usual (as you mentioned: outside of her period) you might want to visit a doctor or ob/gyn.

Yep, that'd be my suggestion. She shouldn't be bleeding if she's healthy, sufficiently aroused, lubed, and you're not being rough. If she's bleeding from her cervix, there could be a health problem. Get that checked out, then find ways to avoid hitting her cervix with different positions and such.

Anyway, I'd say rare penetration and no oral for her is unusual/not the norm, but it sounds like it's working great for you guys.

Personally, we haven't had a lot of penetrative sex for over a year because my pregnancy and breastfeeding have caused and perpetuated a condition that makes vaginal sex extremely painful and we haven't really had time for anal. So, while we're still working on including more penetration so we can have that intimacy and a shot at another baby, we're also trying to reframe our sex life to exclude it.

I think a gyn visit is definately in order....other than that, whatever works for you both is great. I do find it hard to comprehend how someone who seemed to have GREAT orgasms from receiving oral sex would change her mind and decide that it is gross....

I think most men would be thankful for two blow jobs a week....

Well, I heard of one woman that had a huge orgasm from a vibrator and then, refused to ever use one again. It is kind of silly, but it happens.

I guess she has such great orgasms in other ways that she doesn't miss the ones she had when I went down on her. And yeah, two BJs a week is awesome.

But I'm not bragging. Nope. Not at all...

If there's no penetrative sex and she won't let you go down on her, what activity brings her to orgasm? I'm a married bisexual guy and on a few occasions, I've cum while giving a blowjob but not often. Can she climax from sucking you off?

Seriously, there's lots of things you can do besides oral and penetration. You could always use fingers, toys, let her ride your arm/leg,... It's not like lesbians have dicks and they do a lot more than lick each other's cunt. ;)

I use my fingers or she does. Sometimes she'll lay back and masturbate while I kneel beside her and we orgasm together. She gets really turned on going down on me, but she doesn't climax from it.
