Now that the shock of this terrible week is wearing off, what do we do next?
Colin Powell in the first few days has managed to gain support from many countries (even from those that America would not call "democratic"). 50,000 reserve troops have been called up. Britain coincidentally has part of its fleet off the coast of Oman as part of an exercise and is ready to go at a moments notice. Bush has almost carte blanche authority to use whatever force is necessary, including the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The FBI is picking up suspects here, there and everywhere. The Talaban is babbling that Osani bin Laden is not the man who masterminded the atrocities.
So where's the party?
Or are we all dressed up with nowhere to go?
