Are more men today more into giving rather than taking?

Over the past 20 years, I've seen the trend shift (at least in the marketing material) from men being more wham bam thank you ma'am to pleasers. Is it a real trend or is it just marketing.

Is it also true that women seem to be going the other way.

Thoughts ? flames? :)

I can't speak for every man, but for me, I love pleasuring a woman. Her pleasure is WAY more important than mine. I love to ear a woman moan and scream.

I hope its swinging that way I want a man that really wants to please me. It means alot

Speaking for myself... I am un-seflish and believe the woman should be given the pleasure and passion first. I think its so selfish to just climb on and get off. The pleasure and foreplay should be enjoyed both ways, but with the woman first. It makes it so much more erotic, passionate, sensual and less pressure that way...So yes I am more into giving first:kiss::rose:

i dont think so

although I am one who prefers to give rather than receive , i do believe I am in the minority.

I would also mention that you will find more givers here than receivers (from the male side) but i would take that with a grain of salt. I believe the people here are overall more sexually knowledgeable than the general population.

I think men are beginning to be more of a pleaser and the ones who want to keep the relationship steadily going so pleasing her is more of his duty..

As some of the other guys have stated before me, I very much prefer to give before I receive.

I'm a young guy, and I was sexually active at an even younger age. As a man, I think it is very important for our species to set the tone when it comes to sex; now, role reversal and dominatrix and all that--I respect that. But when it comes to vanilla sex, I think the man, who is universally viewed as being dominant, should focus on pleasing his woman before he gets his.

Let's face it: at some point, a man will get his; you can only shove a penis into a warm, wet hole for so long before you get fireworks. I think if more men slowed down, really focused on foreplay, and arousing his woman, drawing out the action, eating her out beforehand and getting an orgasm out of the way, I think a lot of relationships would be saved due to sexual frustration.

I just find it to be so selfish of men to get in, get off, get out when your orgasm is virtually guaranteed, and a woman couldn't be farther from that--you ladies are wired differently than us. I could name a handful of women I've had sex with in the past whose ex-boyfriend never made her cum a single time, and she faked it every time they had sex.

It's depressing to think about.

I can only speak for myself, but I have a psychological need to please. I'm unable to enjoy myself properly unless I'm giving as well as taking, either physically or mentally. (Unfortunately, my opportunities to give are more limited than I would like -- but that's another story!)

Giving

Even in my teens and 20s, during the wham-bam time, I always stuck around to make sure the girl/woman was satisfied. But, that's just me.

I have always ensured that my lady has an enjoyable hour or more of foreplay before making her orgasm. Only then do I consider entering her and taking her to another orgasm.

Like many have said, I love to please. But that being said, I also become overwhelmed with passion and desire and on occasion I take what I want/need without reservation, during those times I have noticed that my partner actually is also overcome with lust and we usually both get what we deserve. I have had my share of quickies but usually my lover was in a quickie mood too. I believe that when I am taking what I want I am also giving to my lover what they want. Ultimately my goal is to produce joined pleasure for both, and most of the time it works out that way,yet I am not anything if I am not spontaneous.:)

This is probably the smartest thing I think I've read on a personal.
You're absolutely correct. That doesn't mean I don't "take one for the team" and let him know that his pleasure is as important to me as mine is, or should be, to him. I enjoy giving a good blowjob and seeing him smile and be appreciative, but it goes both ways. And it seems the trend is there. More and more people are educating themselves about sex and talking about what they like or want to try. And let's face it, most men are fixers. You want to make things right. This is your way of fixing. Doing something for your woman.

I'm impressed. :)

After saying what I did before..... I should probably add that the times my cock gets the hardest and I feel the erotic lust the most, tends to be when my face is in-between two thighs. mmmm
