“The show is riddled with the kids calling each other stupid, dumb, and blockheads. There is continous teasing and bullying. Charlie Brown is supposed to be the hero, instead he is kicked and demeaned at every turn, even by the adults giving out candy,” Buzz Bishop, otherwise known as DadCamp, wrote at Babble.com recently.

Must not watch a lot of modern cartoons if he thinks the Peanuts are mean.

I don't get it.
Todays kids can be the meanest, nastiest bullying little assholes EVER!
Never before has it been this bad. And in such a sustained way, too.
Peanuts is positively tame compared to some of the shit todays gen gets up to!

hey yo, K BEAR

I betcha you were wondering

"I started a thread, and BUSYBODY and TURNERLEAF and that new goof, RE-TURNERLEAF didnt show up............WHY NOT?"

Or

maybe you werent:rolleyes:

How to put this without sounding like a heartless insensitive schmuck?

People like the guy in the article give me a pain. Kids today are so protected and coddled that they grow up totally unable to cope with reality. These cartoons expose kids to the fact that not everybody is nice, polite etc. On the other hand, the kids in these cartoons also show that despite these faults they are friends or at the very least coexist in reasonable peace. That is the important point.

They have more access to more and innovative ways to be assholes as well. Media and movies are to blame as well for their portrayal of mindless violence as acceptable. Parents will get their share of the blame for raising undisciplined, entitled little brats.
