Are any of you fuckers doing NaNoWriMo? I'm trying it out this year and maybe It will be enough motivation to finally finish my fantasy novel. Let's do it!

I looked at it, and it looks like it comes with busy-work bells and whistles and hoops to jump through. As I have no trouble writing that much wordage for publication within that time constraint, I've decided to dispense with all of the side stuff and just write.

I'll have to see what November brings with RL. I've really enjoyed it every year i have participated, especially some of the great friends I've made through it.

I do have an idea for a sci/fi story that I've been mulling over but... Like I said, Time will tell.

Most of those are unnecessary and aimed at those who need encouragement.

The only real criterion is the word counter but it just counts words, not necessarily words you have written during the month, or words that make sense. It is very easy to cheat the system.

The only real judge of whether you complete the NaNoWriMo challenge of 50,000 words during the month is - YOU.

I wrote a How-To Complete NaNoWriMo that some people have found helpful. The title means 'How To Complete NaNoWriMo' not everything about NaNoWriMo.

I completed NaNoWriMo once but I had to set myself additional challenges. I decided that I would write the 50,000 words and get all of it posted to Literotica within the month despite posting delays. All of my series Flawed Red Silk was posted to Literotica during the NaNoWriMo month. The first chapter was posted on the 6th, the 12th and last on the 26th.

I had originally planned up to 26 chapters but as I started writing I reduced the number of linked stories down to more manageable levels by rejecting the weaker plotted ones. Apart from the posted 12 chapters I had written about 15,000 eventually unused words.

For all the times I've thought about it, I'll be onstage in November, so I'm booked.

Probably.

I think it might be good to get the ideas out for a multi-chapter sci-fi or non-human story that's been popping around in my brain for a while, but which seems way to daunting to sit down and write. I also have a long drive to the in-laws (and a visit with the in-laws) which will be perfect for writing (in the passenger's seat!).

Most of all, though, I won't enter unless I finish a draft of the final chapter for a romance story by the end of this month. So NaNoWriMo provides perfect motivation for that task, too.

I've arranged for a short break from school covering the first week of November. That means I'll have to write like crazy before classes start on the 8th. A story has been sitting in the back of my brain for a couple months now and that will be my NaNo. I hope. Time will tell.

Whether I'm a fucker or not, I'm doing NaNo.

Yep, doing it. I have a story that I did a basic outline and synopsis on a few years ago and it would be nice to move it from "plot bunnies" to my "to be edited" file.

Yup, I'll be participating.

I'm considered a NaNo rebel this year. I will not be starting from the beginning with a new novel. I've never finished anything I've started writing (except for maybe 1 story on here) and I really want to get this book series under way. So I'll be continuing the prequel that I used for last year's NaNo.

Been working on this series for 9 years now. I think it's time to finish it.

I hope to. I have a story that I started but want to revise, much like I did with Hunted Key a couple of years ago, so perhaps I'll do it again.

Yup, though I'm Rebelling by finishing off last year's. Hopefully finishing it, anyway. o0

Awesome! Thanks Fuckers! and Non-Fuckers!

I going to jump in and do it. I do need the motivation. I have to actually steal, carve, take, and hold hostage time to write. It's so easy not to write. If anyone needs motivation just pm me. I have two stories for Lit I'm trying to finish before Nov and then BAM! I'm in.
