... tend to vanish. Step by step it would make sense to copy the archived comments to PF&D (skip the junk, keep the good and reasonable entries).

So you are saying just copy your comment and post that in the recommendations thread? Works for me. I have not even been able to keep my current comments from vanishing the last few days. I filed a bug report but that never seems to do anything. I've had to rewrite a few comments lately.
Good idea.
It's a pity that the proposition of a systematic collection of high quality comments got virtually ignored (at least Angeline was an exception). Is this idea to difficult to implement (perhaps I expressed myself clear, for sure)? Or is it really not worthwhile?
In the past we managed to maintain certain topic poem collections. It be good to have more of them. A software hierarchical construction is missing but it is easy to implement it by hand, as we did it in the past. On the top of it just post can be sticky; it would play a role of INDEX, it would contain a list of lists of link collections. This links of lists may include collections of special poems, and the archived comments, and more.
I don't see why we could not link that index as a resource, but someone has to do it and keep it up.
I'd second this but not sure how it would be done.
Forget that, Holy one. You speak of grapes. I would have wine; give us a poem, any you design.
Now where do you fit? If we have to come up with a category? Verse Libre?More details:
An administrator may open a single "Anthologies" post. Over the next five years administrators may include a total of up twelve links to Literoticca anthologies. E.g. "Rhymes and meter" may deserve it's own anthology within the sticky "Anthologies" post. Perhaps "Haiku + Tanka" too. Thus for instance "Rhymes and meter" links to a special "Rhymes and meter" post (not sticky!), which will be handled by a regular participant. The same for "Haiku + Tanka". It would link to a special "Haiku + Tanka" post (not sticky!), which will be handled by a still different regular participant (or by the same one).
Now, the poetic posts (including their threads) and more specialized anthologies like "Sonnets" or "Erotic haiku" (ugh can be posted as on the board, while the respective links will be on the lists like "Rhymes and meter" or "Haiku + Tanka" or similar respectively.
"Archived Comments" may pass for one of the main "anthologies".

Who subjectively picks? Do you not shudder at the thought at the slim possibility that you and I wind up in the same place?
Oh, I forgot, you write poetry, and I don't, oh foolish me. Fear erased. Muted point.
The bottom to top view:
1. Regular participants create poetic threads.
2. Participants in the charge of the "main anthologies" accepts their threads as links in the respective main anthologies link lists.
3. And administrator creates just one sticky list of links, called "Anthologies".

Summary:
1. An administrator creates just one sticky post (a list of links) called "Anthologies". Then the same or other administrators create links, for a total of about 12 withing five years, to certain anthologies which are already to be created by the regular participants. Administrators have to be careful about including these special anthologies under the sticky list "Anthologies". This is all required from administrators (unless they want to do just a bit more too here and then). They need to include links to about 12 anthologies--call them the main anthologies.
2. Some other participants create the main anthologies (it's ok for administrators too)--i.e. participants create lists of links with poetic threads and sub-anthologies). Administrators are to accept the main anthologies. (Perhaps more than one person can be in charge of editing the same post, say of the same specific main anthology; one may even create a team who would share a new Literotica id in order to edit the main anthology link list).
3. The others create the poetic threads (and sub-anthologies), which will be accepted by the the maintainers of the main anthologies or administrators or the designated persons.

More details can be mentioned but they are just details. If there is will then one can implement this construction without too much effort. The gain would be significant.
Thank you Angeline (for the n-th time, how nice) and Tristesse2,
Best regards,
[...] let's say I write a ghazal (because I just did) and I submit it and I get three comments on it. I come here to the forum and create a thread that has a link to that submitted ghazal as well as a copy and paste of those three comments. And then my thread can be linked to a thread called form poems with comments or ghazals with comments or some such, which itself, is linked to Forum Rules and Resources.
Yes. I'd prefer a sticky "Anthologies" link list, but if "Forum Rules..." is the selected solution then let it be. If it is called "Forum..." then it should include a separate segment for links to the "main anthologies" like "Form poems with comments".
We do it, i.e. an administrator creates just this one sticky post (say "Forum..."), and nobody loses anything, there are only possible gains. The whole construction is harmless.
Thus we already have our "Forum...". Then, say Angeline, creates on her own, and independ list of links, namely "Form poems and comments". Nobody needs to ask any questions at this moment. However, now Angeline--in a separate auxiliary thread!--may asks the administrators for an acceptance of "Form poetry with comments", so that a link in "Forum Rules..." will be accepted. In this case I except that the administrator will accept "Form poems and comments" pretty much immediately. Then any Literotica user can click on "Form Rules...", can find and click next on the link to "Form poems and comments", and the said user will be presented with links to threads devoted to "form poetry". It will be easy to find a bunch of posting devoted to "form poetry", while till now it is hard to find anything like this.
In general, in a more controversial cases the administrators may take before accepting a proposition for a new "main anthology". Some propositions can be refused because after all we should not more than 12 main anthologies within the next five years. For instance, if someone proposes an anthology called "Sonnets", it does n ot have to be one of a "main anthology". Instead, a link to anthology "Sonnets" can be featured in the main anthology "Form poetry and comments". Thus one searches for sonnets on Literotica via:
"Forum Rules..." --> "Form poems with comments" --> "Sonnets"
and the last list can have an extensive selection of sonnets and related comments.
(PS. I wish Angeline would not talk about so similarly sounding names like "Forum Rules..." versus "Form poems ..." )
OK I'm floundering a bit. There will be a sticky thread called "Anthologies" where poems and comments will be gathered that much I understand. The rest of it seems unnecessarily complicated, Senna, sorry. Do we really need each poet wanting to be included to create their own comments thread? (That's what I understood you to mean.) Also, is it proposed to have an anthology for every form and style?
Clarification required.
normal jean said:[...] I might be missing the point, but I started a thread years ago to archive some of my poems and comments that were left on them. I always welcomed constructive crit, when anyone was willing to give it. Well, it is Maria's thread, Bug Day Afternoon.

Hi, Maria! Long time no see. Why don't you remind us about your threat, and we will see what happens?
I am sorry about your misfortunes. At least you're enthusiastic about your writing which is your silver lining. (I wish I'd be as enthusiastic when it comes to my activities .
