Hey there!
It happened once or twice that I approved threads I didn't mean to... Once I am done reading a new submission, I always write a comment if the thread is rejected, to let the author know what motivated my decision. And I often forget to uncheck the "approve thread" box.
So I'd like to suggest the following:
When viewing a thread, there would be TWO boxes: one that says "approve" and the other that says "reject". If no box is checked, hitting the "Submit" button would have no effect on the thread (i.e. it would still be in your "approve threads" section, a little as if you had hit your browser "back" button instead). By default, both boxes would be blank. This would prevent a few mistakes on my part and, I'm sure, a few mistakes from other editors out there (please tell me I'm not alone!).
Thanks!
