Apple's Sept 7 announcements

  • GPS on the iWatch (I'm buying one now!)
  • iWatch is waterproof.
  • Yuuuuuge camera on the iPhone.
  • iPhone now "water resistant" though not water proof: you can spill water on it but you can't swim with it. That's very good news for the incontinent elderly right wingers here.
  • A very speshul Nike/iWatch combo.

Had to watch it for work.

"This is our best Iphone yet." Well duh, we didn't expect you to go backwards.

Miyamoto is adorable.

Nintendo release the most generic IOS game ever. A runner. As if it's 2012.

The Watch goes from smartphone companion to workout device with GPS and waterproofing, clearly targeting Fitbit, Garmin et al.
1000 nits on the Watch screen. That's real good.
Nothing about it's battery life though so I expect it still sucks.

Predictable performance upgrade on the phones.
The camera on the Iphone 7 Plus: One feature from the LG G5 and another feature from the Huawei P9 combined into one. Kind of meh, but probably quality.
The new "jet black" finish looks like arse. Thankfully the other regular casings look good.
Still not convinved by the screen. Get on the OLED train already.
No real innovations like last year's 3D touch. But a solid upgrade.
Those fucking headphones. Yeah no. I'll just lose one and be force to buy a new pair. It'll be like socks.

Rumor mill was accurate: Apple held off on unbreakable Gorilla Glass this year, will likely be key feature of next year's "10th Anniversary Edition".

$100 more for ear pieces that will be easy to lose? I'll pass.

My stock went up a point. We'll see if it's just a bounce or what.

Not wild about the earbuds. I might go Samsung for my next phone instead.

I just realized I habitually plug my phone up to the charger in my car and run an AUX cable to the car stereo (it has an AUX input), I can't do that for the new iPhone.

Guess I gotta get a new car with Bluetooth.
