Obligatory Other - "Methinks the lady doth protest too much"

Admit it. You have held a torch for a the chicks in ABBA since the 70's, and "hate" only to cover for you unrequited love.

Mine use my apartment as a race track. I keep having to upright things and the black kitty never wins.
my cats race too. i have two orange cats, one's almost 12 and has been with us his whole life, and the other is only 8 months old, and used to be a stray. they fight like crazy. they ARE crazy.

Ok, seriously....I hate ABBA.

Really, I do.

Forgot to add...

*checks pants* no lady here.

I love ABBA!! Don't know how anyone can't..

Everytime hear them on the radio i tend to dance around like a loony singing along lol. (i think i know most of the words too)

And speaking of Mama Mia, movie/show. I've seen the show, seen the movie, got the movie, got the soundtrack, and i have ABBA greatest hits.

Not to sure why i'm proud of this, oh well....

I'm sure there is a support group. Somewhere.

:D

I so wanted to vote the obligatory other and then I saw the one about Nala's big toe and couldn't resist. :D

So....this song made me think of another one that people around me have been singing lately. I. Can't. Get. It. Out. Of. My. Head.

It's driving me crazy....only if you dare :D

NEVER!!

Are there really so few people who actually like ABBA, yet the film has done incredibly.. i don't get people at all

Hey look, it was OSHA's theme song.

Brought to mind this song...Click if you want to.

And also this song....Better than the first one

That wasn't too bad. I was almost scared to click.......but I can never resist. Most of the time, I cover my eyes and peek around them to be sure if I want to look. I guess in this case I would have covered my ears. Hmmmm. I'll have to remember that technique for next time. :D

I love Abba but not for the reasons a lot of people do. Have you ever tried to catch the words? The songs are actually kind of bitter, sad, depressing and interesting, when you have all that happy superficial stupid pop sounding stuff and these words that are kind of depressing - something interesting happens.

Like, I don't think anyone is "having the time of your life" in Dancing Queen. I think it's about trying to convince yourself you're happy when you are so not - very seventies ushering in the 80's.

Definitely a precursor of the Cardigans, prior to major label whoredom. Happy Meal works on the Abba principal.

Nope. But I am the Dream Police

Dear God. You won't listen to Abba but Cheap Trick is okay?

*cancels ride to Abba support group, begins planning Cheap Trick intervention*

See, thank you. Glad someone said it. You're absolutely right.

I think so much of it is the time they were in; those same tunes and lyrics would be interpreted so much differently in some other musical generation. Less bubble gum and more depth.

Not an ABBA fan. I can't think of anything more painful than sitting through Mamma Mia. Having said that, I've still yet to find a dom to teach me what pain really is.

*sigh*

Meh, I'll listen to it, but not to say I'm a fan of it.

Queen on the other hand is golden.

ABBA, Queen, Cheap Trick, et al are like Bollywood movies. They're ridiculous, annoying, make no sense but I...just...can't...turn...channel.

Hell will be ABBApalooza, with Queen and Cheap Trick as the opening act. Maybe a little Kenny G thrown in for good measure.

And they'll all be wearing Speedos (sorry, couldn't resist).

Cod, I'm supposed to be doing month end accounting. Stop tempting me away from this fun task!!!

Good Jesus in a leisure suit....doesn't anyone like real music around here? Where's a good fan of The Electric Prunes when you need one in your corner.

And who the FUCK is ABBA? Oh, yeah.....that's the band that John McCain likes. :D
