A Greek myth twincest angle here.....
Artemis is a Virgin Goddess in this version, not from a hatred of men, but because she is still holding a torch for her brother Apollo, and is saving her maidenhood for him....no matter how long it takes....(not my usual kind of story, I know...but it's a good way to explain her virginity and I like to do things a little differently now and then).
Apollo and Artemis get into a fight at one point, and he confronts her over that issue....and it just comes out in the argument....that she loves him and has loved him for a long time.....one thing leads to another...and they become lovers....and no more Virgin Goddess....
