A Greek myth twincest angle here.....

Artemis is a Virgin Goddess in this version, not from a hatred of men, but because she is still holding a torch for her brother Apollo, and is saving her maidenhood for him....no matter how long it takes....(not my usual kind of story, I know...but it's a good way to explain her virginity and I like to do things a little differently now and then).

Apollo and Artemis get into a fight at one point, and he confronts her over that issue....and it just comes out in the argument....that she loves him and has loved him for a long time.....one thing leads to another...and they become lovers....and no more Virgin Goddess.... ;)

I've always loved Greek mythology, one of the reasons being that the Greek gods are exceptionally sexual beings. This is a great twist (something not easy to come up with in stories that have been around for 3000 years) and I really think it would work. I'd love to read it.

I'd read it also, sounds pretty good to me, especially considering the kind of gravity one could apply to two Gods having sex. Shaking the earth, etc.. You could even have the sun rise later than usual the next day, haha.

All those Gods deflowering human girls made for great seventh grade porn reading.

Yeah, I think that it could be a very hot scenario....all of that pent-up lust and love.....just waiting to be released.... :D

Artemis was not mortal.

Exactly. She was the twin sister (somewhat older, in fact, than her twin brother Apollo, as she helped delivered him) of the Sun God. She was Goddess of the Moon, of forests, etc. A Virgin Goddess, which is something that I am trying to explain and exploit in this story idea.

Don't forget that she was Goddess of the Hunt, which to me was a large part of her allure. A huntress was she, powerful and cunning. I've always loved the digression from women as mere objects of beauty into empowered beings (though retaining their sensual and sexual qualities) with individuality and purpose.

I know. We were talking about Greek myths, and I made a comment about how sexy the stories about Gods deflowering human girls were. I went on a tangent. It's all Greek to me.

Yes, also of the hunt....though I prefer to be the hunter myself....and I think that Apollo might teach her what it's like to be the prey....well, after her turn of hunting him...that is... :D
