I'm not any kind of fan but by reason of natal propinquity, I suppose I should be a Packers fan. So go Packers!

I have no idea how I even knew where Green Bay was or that the Packers play there, but somehow or another I was aware that there was some connection I was supposed to have with them at a fairly young age so I requested and ended up with a Green Bay Packers bedspread when I was quite young. I don't recall ever watching football though. I think I was vaguely aware that that's the sport that they played.

At the time, I lived in Louisiana but I don't think I had ever heard of the Saints.

My Baton Rouge based uncle calls them the NO "Aints." :)

I kinda like the 49ers, though.
 
Tree of mah siblins' was born in Bah tawn' Rouge.

Hadn't really thought about it till now but I never really think of them as Louisiana natives nor do I sent any strong self identity of theirs with the place. We moved before they were in school so their idea of Louisiana is pretty limited.

They might have some vague memories of driving through town or maybe the ferry over to Mississippi.

I sounded more Mississippi than bayou. Probably not that pronounced either though since my parents were technically yankees although they came by that affectation honestly as westerners. My mom grew up on a dairy and didn't like her country twang and worked hard to eliminate it before I was even born. My articulation, consequently, was always relatively precise for a southerner.

Lived at the ankle of the boot right on the mighty Mississip. At the time the Delta Queen with just refurbished and docked in our area.

I've got the opposite of insomnia, lethargy. I should have been out the door hours ago but I just don't wanna. Last night I had a similar problem didn't really start till midnight and had already decided by 4 in the morning to call it a night. The plan was to just blow off today tonight and maybe this week and get some things done that I have neglected around the house and vehicles but I just don't wanna.

If I'm not going to do any of those things and I should go make some money but I don't really wanna.

My parents were genuine Cockneys, born within the sound of Bow Bells, and lived there until they were made homeless by a Zeppelin bomb in 1915 - then the world's largest ever aerial bomb.

My father, and his older brother, could still speak the Cockney of their youth but trained themselves to speak Received Pronunciation as senior civil servants. Their youngest brother had a market stall in Bethnal Green and spoke the current Cockney of the multicultural streets of the East End. He never stopped teasing his brothers for their refined speech.

Two of my daughters can speak in the current East End Patois which means nothing to me.

My family has supported the Arsenal Football Club for nearly 150 years (except one of my sons-in-law - Liverpool).

We have groaned over the jokes for all that time.
 
Americans wouldn't get that. We can't be arsed to learn archaic.
 
Odd that a country with such a large portion of the population with ADD would invent baseball.

As a midwest guy, I am a Packers fan. But, when they are not on the field, I cheer for the Chiefs just as hard.

I think the Chiefs have a good chance to win it all this year. My Packers are going to lose very painfully to the 49ers.
 
Why do I keep a collection of film cameras with their lenses and accessories?

They are beautiful, functional and essentially useless unless I use the lenses with an adaptor on a digital camera.

I have wide-angle, 50 mm, 100mm, 200 mm, 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm, all M42 thread, but the longer lenses would make a digital camera too unbalanced.
