Mark always found swimming relaxing. He had had a rough day at work and was doing laps in the apartment pool. After doing several laps he got out and decided to relax on one of the lounge chairs by the pool.

Looking toward his apartment he noticed a moving van pull up next to it. "Someone must be moving into that empty unit next door" he thought to himself. He hoped whoever they were would be better than the ugly redneck couple that he could always hear fighting through the walls.

He really kind of hoped it was the beautiful girl he saw looking at apartments the other day with the property manager. She had looked gorgeous, and there were so few beautiful women in the complex. "Some eye candy would be nice" he thought as he stood up to walk back and greet his new neighbor

Lexi took a deep breath before picking up her first box and carrying it inside. It was heavy but she knew it wasn't too bad compared to most of the others still in the truck. Why did she think she could really do this all by herself, was she really that stubborn that she couldn't ask anyone to help her move in. Maybe that was part of it.

As she sat the box down in the kitchen she took a look around. It was a decent place but it was strange living on her own. She had never been on her own before, she had always had some kind of a roommate. It was definitely going to take some adjustment, but maybe this place was exactly what she needed.

As Mark walked up he saw that it was the cute girl who had been there a few days ago. He watched as she took what seemed to be a heavy box into her apartment. Walking across the parking lot he expected someone else to come out of the apartment and carry something also, but no one ever came. "Surely she's not trying to move in all by herself?" he thought to himself.

Still in just his swim trunks and flip flops, he decided to say hi and ask if she needed help before changing. He had to walk by anyway, might as well say something. He walked up to her apartment and peeked in. seeing her looking around her apartment. Seeing her more up close than he had before he realized that she was beautiful. It caught him off guard for a second, but he quickly recovered and knocked softly on the door before she saw him staring. "Hi you must be my new neighbor!" he said as she turned. "Do you have anyone else here helping you?"

"It's just me." She said as she walked back outside "I'm Lexi, well Alexis." She said as she started to pull the next box off of he truck. " so which apartment is yours? The one on the left or the right?" She asked as she struggled to pick up the box.

"I am on the right," he replied, chuckling as she struggled to lift the box. "Tell you what," he said walking up next to her. "You tell me about yourself and direct me where to put things, and I'll grab the heavy stuff"

Without waiting for a reply he walked up to the box. His bare chest and arm muscles flexed as he lifted the box of books effortlessly and began walking toward her apartment.

"Just sit it in the living room..." She said as she grabbed a lighter box "there really isn't much to tell." Lexi said as she followed him into the apartment, sitting her box next to his. "You haven't even told me your name. I don't tell my life story to random men in swim trunks..."

Mark kicked himself. How could he have forgotten to tell her his name! "Oh I didn't did I! I'm sorry I am Mark. It is great to meet you Lexi" he said smiling as he stepped into her apartment.

"I was just coming back from the pool and saw you moving in, didn't even think about what I was wearing." He said as he set the box down. "I guess I should probably go change."

Lexi laughed "it's fine, it's really no big deal." She said "I can handle this stuff by myself. I didn't mean to interrupt your pool time. I'm sure I'll see you again. You already know where I live."

"Oh you didn't interrupt anything! I was heading back as it was and noticed you. You've got a lot to move in, Let me go change, and I'm going to come back and help. I know you probably don't need it, but its no fun moving in by yourself! Besides I can get anything else that might be heavy!" he hoped she would let him help. She was beautiful and he wanted to try and find out more about her. He was going to be devastated if she was taken, but if she was she had a horrible boyfriend if he couldn't even help her move in.

"Alright, I'll see you in a couple of minutes then." She said as she picked up another box and headed into the house with it. Sitting it down on the kitchen floor she sat down beside it and opened it, unwrapping the dishes inside and sitting them beside her.

Mark went back to his apartment and quickly threw on a t-shirt, boxers and some baggy shorts. Looking in the mirror and fixing his hair quickly and spraying on some cologne, he smiled. "Here goes nothing" he thought to himself.

Stepping back out of his apartment he knocked on the side of her door as he walked by. "I'm going to get a couple of boxes, but I'm back" he said with a smile as he stepped back out and grabbed two of the heavier boxes. Carrying them into her apartment, he took another look at how gorgeous she looked, even just moving in. "Uhm, one says bedroom, the other says office, which rooms have you decided are which?" he asked smiling as her beautiful face turned to him and he stared into her gorgeous green eyes.

"I haven't really made that choice yet... I guess just sit them in one of the rooms and I'll figure it out later. I still have so much to do, it was a pretty sudden move." She said getting up and moving the first stack of plates onto the counter "thanks for the help."

Thanks for the help.

Mark noticed Lexi's small smile with that comment and that she made direct eye contact with him when she spoke. He held her gaze for a few moments and found himself feeling a bit nervous as he did. As he often did, he ignored any feelings other than fun or lust. "You're welcome, Lexi. There are lots of boxes left, but you also haven't moved any of your furniture yet. You certainly can't do that alone. You look pretty sturdy, though. I think we can move everything together. What shall we start with first?"

Ordinarily, in a situation like this, Mark would have made some adolescent wisecrack like "let's you and I start with your bed", but he had a small sense that if he wanted to make any inroads with Lexi, he would have to move up to a little higher ground.

"Let's just start with whatever is th easiest to get out of the truck." She said as she walked back outside "I think my couch is our best choice."

I think my couch is our best choice.

"OK, couch it is." The two of them turned out to be quite good at working together to move furniture into Lexi's apartment. Room by room, the apartment was filled with Lexi's belongings. With Mark and Lexi sometimes facing each other to move furniture, or sometimes walking behind the other person while carrying boxes, each had ample opportunity to check out the other's body. Both were quite impressed. Several times, Mark thought that Lexi caught him checking her out, but if so, she didn't seem to mind.

With all of the furniture and boxes moved in, there were days worth of unpacking for Lexi to do. Her apartment looked more like a storage bin than an abode. Noticing that Lexi was certainly not in any position to cook a meal for herself, Mark said, "Hey, Lexi. We burned off a lot of calories moving all of that. How about if I help you return your truck to U-Haul and we head out to the local bar for a pizza and beer??
