Who here has aol as a provider? I just got mine back since I am travelling frequently and it allows you to sign on just about anywhere. If you do, do you IM on there?

If you mean IM on the aol.com site, no you can't. If you're not on AOL at the time, you need AIM to do that.

Clarification

I wanna know who wants to chat on aol im

I have AOL, but not for long. Fuck Version 8.0 — I'm getting a DSL connection and it's about the same price as shitty AOL service.

I am DSL illiterate. How does it work and can you get on anywhere

I refuse to upgrade. I've heard it isn't much different from 7.0, so I'm staying with that. Until they start throwing me off and force me to liek they did before, that is.

Speaking of which, I just got booted.

At 3:00 in the fucking morning.

Not that I ever would, but I often fantasize about sending a bomb to AOL headquarters that would say "You've got mail!" before exploding and "Goodbye!" afterwards.

DSL is a different way of using your phone lines. It will only work from your house.
