A quickie Q... Does anyone use the keywords feature when submitting their work?

Just curious

Nope. I did when I submitted stories, but it always has seemed like overkill to me with a poem. :)

I don't even know why it's there. I just write in the first thing that comes to mind.

What's it FOR anyway?

Thanks Ang.. I haven't even done it with my stories, but they seem to be found sometime or another for whatever reason :)

 uhmm, don't mean to sound ignorant or silly, but what keywords features?

something available on Lit?

I'm so glad someone asked! I never use it and I was wondering if I should. But honestly, it's not that easy with poetry. Keywords for a story may be lesbian or naughty wives, but poetry... I don't know. Keywords: Love, Ecstasy, More Love? Just imagine how many poets would use the keyword Love! You'd type that little word in and end up with over half the lit poems. Type in cock and pussy, and you pretty much get the rest. :D

*laffin'*

I always post at least one word in that box but it nevr appears.

I think it is purely for the story submissions which all have a sort of capsule description.

In the beginning I kind of thought I was supposed to, then I started getting punchy

keywords
existential subliminal sentimental bullshit

lime juice

erector sets

zoology

planar geometry

now I just pretend it is not there

now why did I get erector jets from sets?

where do they come from? a site? Just curious to see what is out there

I've always assumed it's for the story seach feature, but I could certainly be wrong.

Damn I must be doing something wrong Don't think I have ever used cock and pussy in any of My poems.....

Razz
:p

I think Minsue is correct. If you were writing a story that had cars in it, you put cars in the keyword box when submitting it.

If a reader used the search stories feature and entered the word car, your story along with any other story with the keyword car, would show up in a list.

I don't use it when submitting poems, but I do for stories.

Maybe its just the mood i'm...maybe not....this just hits me as a challenge...hmmm....

Course the real challenge for me is to be dark and depressing and still have a cock and a pussy at hand...i mean in the poem...

The keywords are to assist the story search feature, as already said. And the story search feature is just that: a feature that searches stories. Not poems. So, it's a good idea to choose some keywords on your story submissions, but completely useless to add them to your poems, just like filling in the 'Description' field...

:D

this made me laugh

I use the keyword function for stories.

Example if I am writing a story that is really Gor based I put that in there.

I am not sure if I have used it for peoms or not.
