Since I am new to this board I would like to know a little about you folks.

Here are a few questions that might give me a little more insight other than the boring age, sex, location stuff.

1.)What is your favorite movie of all time and what were the last 2 good movies you saw?

2.)What book or piece of literature has had the most impact on you or has affected you in a significant way?

3.)What is your favorite type of music?

4.)Evolution or Creation? (Or somewhere in between?)

5.)Your favorite website..besides this one.

6.)Describe yourself in two words.

Here are my answers.
1.) 2001: A Space Odyssey is my favorite of all time. Ghost World and Waking Life are two movies I cannot say enough good things about.

2.) As a young teenager I discovered Anton LaVey and Friedrich Nietzsche. I am not a satanist (not that there's anything wrong with that) but LaVey's logical and take no bullshit philosophy had a profound effect on me at a young age. Also Nietzsche had moments of brilliance in between his prose and insane ramblings.

3.) This is a tough one. I love everything from Beethoven to Dead Kennedys. Pretty much anything that expresses ideas and emotions in a thoughtful and artistic way. (Except country music...... country music is from the devil  )

4. I consider myself pragmatic and logical. So that rules God out. I know evolution is just a theory but it's the best one I have heard so far, but my ears, eyes and mind are always open. (so to speak)

5. The Onion - America's Finest News Source.

6. Sarcastic and Opinionated.

Thanks for your answers..........

Gaseous, the lovely Lavender put it so well, and I must agree.

Do you really want people to think of really bad smells when they see your name?

3.)What is your favorite type of music? Heavy Metal

4.)Evolution or Creation? (Or somewhere in between?) Creation, but not in the biblical sense *not a christian*

5.)Your favorite website..besides this one. Don't really have one.. I visit a site repeatedly until I've exhausted the content, then move on.

6.)Describe yourself in two words. Romantic Fool

Nevermind the resident board asshole. You'll get used to him.

You're cranky tonight. Are you making another futile attempt at stopping smoking again?

okay let me answer

:p

I am actually looking forward to it, Problem Child. You're on my good side with your George Carlin quote and Dr.Strangelove av.

We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when....

As far as the name is concerned I am not usually scatalogically inclined but I found the name to be a funny play on words that conjured a bizarre mental image for me.

No, I just spent 2 hours trying to orgasm to no avail. The attempts to stop smoking occur on Friday. BEWARE! I'm inflicting my torture and grief on you, personally.

Btw, the above was a complete joke.

Damn.. I was going to ask you for your phone number.

I've discovered phone sex.. i was hoping I could help you achieve an orgasm ;) A three way phone call with Ruby sounded so good too...

damn.. guess I'll go to bed

Welcome to the Board GAS

Evolution is a fact. I don't necessarily believe the two are completely mutually exclusive.

I think that the theory of evolution is about as "factual" as the big bang theory. Most scientists and learned individuals agree that these theories may be a 99% certainty, but that 1% requires me to keep an open mind. That same 1% usually requires Christians to keep an open mouth.

My favorite all time movie would have to The Godfather 2 unless The Godfather Saga (originally redone for television leaving nothing out) counts. Two movies. Well I'd have to say that A.I. was one damn fine film. Speilberg actually kept that Kubriek feel to it which only made it greater. Another movie which I have just recently watched that made my head spin was an independent film entitled Donnie Darko. Great film but I have no idea as to what the hell it meant. Oh by the way I love Army of Darkness.

The book that really made a significant effect in my life would have to be The Prince by Makiavelli. The Art of War by Sun Tzu is an informative book also if you can adapt its strategies to everyday life.

My favorite music. Its really a toss up between industrial and punk.

Both idea's are comical to me. If their is a god blah blah blah, and if we evolved from blah blah blah why have we stopped evolving.
Just live your life the best you can and when its over with its over.

I visit a website calle www.writtenbyme.com. I havent really been their in ages though. My favorite as of this moment is the Donnie Darko web site which kind of helps explain the movie to you. Its also kind of like a game that messes with your head big time. Just remember the secret password is smurf.

would be "Basic Instinct". The last 2 movies I saw were
"Vanilla Sky" and "Kate and Leopold".
2. Hmmmmmm I have a lot of fave books......but if I had to pick
one (again!), I think it would be "Delta of Venus" by Anais Nin.
3. Again....I love lots of music.....from Broadway to top 40 to
50s/60s, 70s/disco, 80s tunes, dance/house, some hiphop
(esp. "old school late 80s/early 90s), swing/jazz....some classical,
some opera, some movie soundtracks.......
4. Never really thought about it......can't answer that.
5. Fave website: www.nerve.com
6. in two words about myself: sensual & determined are what

Hi Clay
For starters welcome to my wonderful/weird home away from home. lol.

My fav film would have to be Forest Warrior with Chuck Norris. I know this is a family film, but it has a moral behind it. The last 2 good movies I have seen mmm, now that's a toughie, cuz I haven't had much time lately with the big move looming just ahead.

My totally fav book would have to be In The Spirit of Crazy Horse by Peter Matthiessen. Being part NA and an AIMster (American Indian Movement member), the plight of Leonard Peltier weighs heavy on my heart. For here sits an innocent man charged and imprisoned for a crime he never committed. We have been fighting for his release for 28 years.

Fav music first of is Native drums and flutes, followed closely by Country.

Fav web site is........... www.freepeltier.org

Native American .......and proud

1.) Favorite movie...Oh I dunno about that one...don't really have a favorite...2 good movies I saw...Thomas Crown Affair and Gladitor(sp?) Been awhile since I last went and seen a movie.

2.) I don't believe a book has affected me in a significant way...I enjoy reading though and do it every chance I get...love reading Dean Koontz, Sidney Sheldon, Mary Higgins-Clark, Sue Grafton, and Patricia Cronwell. I get enough of real life everyday so I don't like reading stuff about real life too often.

3.) I like just about every kind of music except Rap and Bluegrass...although there are exceptions to those...
