Anyone want to edit an story?

Hi all

I've got a couple of quick questions about the editing process. And I'm also looking for an editor to work with me i dont mind paying for your time.

OK, questions first. I've been looking for an editor since the start of the month. I've selected an editor from the list of volunteer editors, clicked on the Contact button and sent them a brief message describing the story, giving them my email address and asking them to contact me. The FAQ says you should expect a response within 72 hours, so if I didn't get a response in 3 or 4 days, I went to the next editor on my list and contacted them. I've been through 9 or 10 now, and none of them have responded.

Is this common? Are there a lot of editors who no longer edit, or take a long time to respond? Or have I just been unlucky in my selection of editors?

I know nobody on Literotica is being paid for their efforts, and we all have stuff to do in the real world as well, but it can't be too much to ask for a timely email saying "yes", "no", or "I'm busy, try again in a week", can it? It's very frustrating! I'm also looking for an editor to work with me i dont mind paying for your time.


So, are there any editors on here who'd like to edit my story with me?

I'm looking for a female and male editor who's willing to accept stories in the marital affair category.

I'd like someone to proofread, structure and give it a reality check. Also, this is my first piece of written erotica, so I'd be willing to accept any hints or tips for making it better.

Prince: Part of your problem may be that you do not have your private messages enabled. At the upper left of this screen, you will see a button that says,"user cp" click on that and then "enable private messages." Then if you still need an editor I will send you my email address where you can send your story.

The main problem is that the official volunteer editor system here is broken, clogged, and has effectively been abandoned by the Web site.

The best way to get someone to volunteer to edit here is to contact an editor who has expressed availability on the monthly list provided in the sticky thread at the top of this forum. The next best way is to lay out what you need here on this forum (and, yes, to have your PMs enabled).
