Anyone know a good source for historic weather info

I want to know what the weather was like on a specific day in a real city for a story I'm writing. I'm having a hell of a time finding a website that has that kind of information for 1973.

Anyone got a link?

Can't you just go to the local newspaper archives, find that day and year of the paper and check the part on weather?

USGA and your local Alamanac website would have that info . . . without knowing a specific date, or time frame, I can't really give a link.
