Anyone into hypnotics?

Me neither! The idea of someone telling me what to do in and of itself is never a bad thing... (;

Id' like to try it. Not sure I believe in it though?

I'm kind of interested in giving it a shot, never thought about it much before.

So, you want to fall asleep? A woman posting a personal on a sex-related website wanting to fall asleep instead...hmmm...this sounds suspiciously like my love life.....

You, sir, are a riot. :D

I have actually tried it before with an ex-internet gf.
Got a book and managed to learn to put her into a trance well enough to play a bit.
Being on cam with her as I fooled around and watching her react was very fun.
Although I probably can't do it anymore, haven't played with it in years.

You have to have a lot of trust in the person you try it with, though.
The person in control has to be very careful not to mess you up.
I don't think I ever got that deep into anything too far, though.

I did have some silly fun with it too. :D
Still have the book too.

What's the name of the book?

Hypnosis: Secrets of the Mind by Michael Streeter

It's not exactly a textbook on how to learn hypnosis, but it's an interesting read.
About 95% of the book is mostly about the history of hypnosis and it's uses in medicine and stage acts and discussing various things about it.
There really is only one section that actually deals with the techniques.
You won't find step by step instrctions here, though.
It's not exactly a teaching tool, but it was an interesting read if you're into hypnosis.

Plus it was under $20. :D

I've done hypnosis with some success. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not like on TV, you can't turn someone totally against their will, but you can definitely open them up to anything they have a deep down inclination towards.

My local BDSM group is doing a hypnosis seminar this month, I'm looking forward to honing my skills! Victims, err... volunteers, get in line!

Anyone try it over Skype? Wonder how well that works.

PM me if you want to be hypnotized or to hypnotize me or to just chat about it.

Ive looked into it some, and "supposedly", you can't get someone to do something they wouldn't normally do, while in a hypnotic state.

Then again, there WAS that one movie that was based on a real story, starring Jodie Foster, that described an 1800's woman, from England I think, who used mesmerism on an "abusive husband" (1800's england being repressive made an avenue for her to use wanton sex or the suggestion of wanton sex to mesmerize her husband) into committing suicide.

In the movie, remember it IS Hollyweird and they DO like to take certain liberties with the truth all in the name of "entertainment", the character Jodie played would rub her hands on her velor covered thighs (or some tactile fabric similar), to initiate the mesmerism, then she would pour him a teaspoon of some poison and tell him it was sugar or some such...

The character was brought to trial for murder, but was released based on the arrogant concept in the 1800's that they knew all there was to be known about science, and that all current shrinks agreed you could NOT make someone do something they would not normally do. The reason this point is significant is because the poison was nasty stuff that had to be administered over time.

The concept of hypnosis is that you get someone to "trust" what you say to them while in a hypnotic state, which makes them more agreeable to do something, like cluck like a chicken. That any "reasonable" person, after tasting nasty tasting poison, would therefore make a negative association and thereby distrust the person who hypnotized them, and thereby NOT believe the "sugar" wasn't poison, in recurring hypnotic states.

The woman was released as not guilty and inherited her abusive husband's fortune and moved to America where she, according to the movie, went through the same thing two more times; marrying a rich man who would then commit suicide by drinking or eating poison over time.

She was never imprisoned.

But, yeah, hypnosis. Cool stuff!

I guess that's just part of the risk!
Before I retired I was a professor at the University of Minnesota. One of the corses I taught was hypnosis as part of my physiology class. I have used hypnosis to train woman in obedience and to relieve sexual inhibitions. I would love to hypnotize you too. You will have to be willing to be controlled.
