Finding a writer willing to take on someone else's story is pretty rare, I think, but not unheard off. Maybe post some pertinent details to gauge interest?

I'm sure there are and I've also seen a few people chime in and offer to write a story, but I've no idea if it actually happens.

Yes, we turn a deaf ear to "please help me" requests in much the same way as the "artists" in the Visual Arts Corner do.

Well first, who's 'we'?
Second, there is a difference between 'help' and 'do it for me'. Help means, "I'm having trouble writing my story and I would like some feedback." The other is, "I'm not a writer and lack the patience and determination to become one, but I want the world to hear the stories of my wife cuckolding me."
I'm a blue collar guy and I work hard every day. Writing erotica is my escape. I have a document with 50+ story ideas, and 11 stories in the works. Which means I'm happy to help but I'm not going to do it for you. I don't have the time, and the same can probably be said for 99% of the writers here.
'Deaf ear' is bullshit. None of us popped from the womb being able to write. We did it and did it, until we were good at it, same as anything else. It's not my fault if someone else isn't willing to put in the same effort.
For those who are trying, and want some help and feedback, shoot me a DM, and I'd be happy to chat with you. Nuff said.

Ah right - you mean we're a more obliging, congenial and friendly crowd than the fair denizens of the VAC where, notoriously, demands for ££$$ are high on the response list when it comes to anyone asking for 'help with a picture'?
Ok, I stand corrected and by now you will have "DMd" this member and been told that his/her story is fully fledged and only needs a little touching up from a seasoned writer such as yourself. He/she obviously won't be giving simply an outline idea and asking for a complete story from you or anything remotely similar, it goes without saying.
Well done on being a "blue collar guy", by the way. Everyone's hugely impressed and in awe. Kudos, kudos...
