Anyone in TX want to save a horse or three?

There are rescue orgs like this all over the country looking for people who have a pasture space and would be willing to take on a horse or two. This particular case is taking place very close to one of only three slaughter plants in the US (two in TX, one in IL) and of course this org is very worried about the fate of these Arab mares if they aren't placed in good homes. I would take them myself if I could, but I am too far away and have no way to get these horses here.

Same here- I'm in the process of rescuing one in KY and possibly some from TN. I'm seriously considering sending out a mass email and asking a bunch of horsey people if they'd be interested in finding out how much a semi with a livestock loader wouldbe to charter, and go up en masse to rescue a bunch of the ones in TN.

I would - we used to do rescues fairly often - but we've had to board out our own horses now.
