...

Are you even going to try to give specifics?
What you think McCain would have done differently?

I sorta took this thread to be a "What McCain would have done right" ?
not a "Obama did everything wrong"

Doubt it.

Though Palin would of supplied endless material for comedians.

America would be doing better now if Bozo the Clown were president.

I think the biggest difference would've been in jobs. While I wasn't a fan of McLame or his moronic VP pick, we'd still be drilling in the Gulf and the Keystone Pipeline project would be underway. Businesses hate stupid regulations and the current lack of hiring exhibits that.

Does anyone here seriously believe that? Anybody? Why?

Your thread subject is very revealing about your own concern that Obama has failed.
As for McCain it's not doubt he could have done better than Obama, so yes America would be doing better because Congress and the President would be working as a team.

Obama is a radical with no agenda that works for the American people.

As of friday

Come on now. Just because a few million have stopped looking for work does not mean the we can go around saying unemployment has improved. The real number is still almost 11%...

"Since 2007, the percent of the population that either has a job or is actively looking for one has fallen from 62.7 percent to 58.5 percent. That's millions of workers leaving the workforce, and it's not because they've become sick or old or infirm. It's because they can't find a job, and so they've stopped trying. That's where Luce's calculation comes from. If 62.7 percent of the country was still counted as in the workforce, unemployment would be 11 percent. In that sense, the real unemployment rate -- the apples-to-apples unemployment rate -- is probably 11 percent. And the real un- and underemployed rate -- the so-called "U6" -- is near 20 percent.

There were some celebrations when the unemployment rate dropped last month. But much of that drop was people leaving the labor force. The surprising truth is that when the labor market really recovers, the unemployment rate will actually rise, albeit only temporarily, as discouraged workers start searching for jobs again."

Depends.

Are we assuming the tables were tuned in Congress too? With a Dem minority not able to pass anytyhing but block everything?

For starters, I think McCain would have gotten his economic advisors from pretty much the same place (Wall Street) and proposed by-and-large similar solutions to the finance crisis, and the Republicans in congress wouldn't have been able to shriek "ZOMG SOCHULIZM" at the top of their lungs whenever a Republican president proposed something somewhat centrist.

And secondly, I doubt the Dems would have gone into full Jihad mode just to spite him. They don't seem petty and/or ballsy and/or organized enough to that.

Punctuation. You should look into it, it's cool.

I agree. However Congress is making it hard on Obama by saying no to most of his acts and ideas. If Congress would work with each other and with the president, we'd be better off.

maybe 1%

Maybe 1% better....we wouldn't be this close too adopting the Soviet constitution...

So, instead of not a snowball's chance in hell it would have been not a snowball's chance in hell, plus a candle?

McCain's a geezer idgit. He's the flipside of Ron Paul. The commies kicked his head too many times, so now his ass does all his thinking, and his mouth talks shit.

Wall Street stole Fort Knox and split the loot with the Usual Suspects: Congress, Mitt, Dubya, The Donald, Pelosi, et al.

So Owebama's been busy smashing Americas piggy banks, ever fucking where, to pay the bills.

 He hasn't done all I hoped, but he has by no means failed.

As for McCain it's not doubt he could have done better than Obama, so yes America would be doing better because Congress and the President would be working as a team.

Things never do seem to go well for America, though, when the "team" is a Pub POTUS and a Pub Congress.

Obama is a radical . . .

 IF ONLY!
