JKR,

Pretend we're standing in a darkened room....my arms around you and we're holding on for dear life. That's my hug for you. No words, just hugs. Warm hugs, tender hugs, "letting you know someone is there" hugs.

Please feel better soon.

yes i do hon... i just cry and let it out... and then feel better after

I just gotta wait until it passes, then wait until the next time. I wish I could cry it out. I really do, it would be so much easier to handle, but when its real depression, depression youve had since... gosh before puberty even hit ya, it just dont work that way.

Thanks again. *hugs everyone who replied*

Yeah, man, I definitely have. I'm sorry that you're there right now, it really sucks.

The only thing that I've found to do is just ride it out (although I know that that makes it sound simple, I know it's not). Don't push it back, let it flow through you, and remember all of the things and people that really matter in your life. This too, shall pass. *hugz*- hey, everybody needs 'em!

One big rib cracking HUG.

I do not remember wher I first read this but it IS true.

Men curse to keep from crying.
Women cry to keep from cursing.

As for riding out the depression...I overcame mine by thinking BACK to what caused it, and then figured out WHY. That ended that.

So try it while we ALL hug you!

Huggles and snuggles Mystery.

I know what your talking about, and I feel your pain.

Know were here for you, and talk talk talk.

*hugs you very very tightly...swinging you around til you laugh*

I do know honey...I have the same thing goin on. I should be thrilled about the new house and everything, but I am in "punched in the gut" mode too. Don't you just wish there was an easy way to snap out of it??

*hugs you again for good measure, then hands you a freshly made sammich, hoping the twirling doesn't make you puke!*

just a thought

just feeling depressed from time to time is a pain, but nothing too serious. However, if a person feels unreasonably depressed or feels that way too often, it could be a medical condition.

The two people closest to me on this planet suffer from clinical depression. This is an imbalance in brain chemistry. There are excellent medications which correct the balance to normal levels allowing a person to be their normal (happy) self.

I emphasize "normal" because being unreasonably depressed or too often depressed is not normal. What IS normal is to treat depression like any other illness and treat it.
