Anyone from the UK?

I realise I'm a newb here so forgive my foibles. One of those is for random facts, which I collect like a magpie.

Do we all know that there's a knurled knob under the push-button control for pedestrian crossings? It turns when it's safe to cross. Thanks - it helps if I can offload these trivias

not on all - apparently. It was designed for deaf-blind people so they could feel when the green man was on.

my head is full of useless trivia.

I know useless trivia too. I just don't know it until it's needed. I'm a thick bird usually, but then I have these nuggets of useless rubbish.

Both please share when there is something particularly useless, I find these facts titillating.

my favourite, very niche piece involves Subbuteo.

The inventor wanted to call it "Hobby" but wasn't allowed to trademark the name... so... the latin name for the bird of prey knows as a Hobby, is Falco Subbuteo. That's how it got the name.

You're not thick.

You just thought haggis were real animals that roamed wild...
