Just wanted to say what a great story. It certainly had a bulge in my trousers very much like the photographer pair!

Loved it and would love to hear the second instalment soon. Also would be great if you posted some of the photos in the amateur photo section, love to have a play over Abis pics

Fuck ... I was doing so well until you mentioned teeth! An innate dislike of dentists since childhood when the local dentist was more like Laurence Olivier in "Marathon Man" has done nothing to save my pearly whites from ruin!

Should have gone over the Humber Bridge and used the rural byways of Lincolnshire (well, sometimes the A46 flows quite well and then you can join the madness of the A1 south at Newark) :oops: :ROFLMAO:

I do feel that a line needs to be drawn somewhere
and the discussion of travel roots is few miles south of the line
and never use the rural byways of Lincolnshire they are local roads for local people

I do find that Lincolnshire people do use the Lincolnshire roads quite a lot ... most of them don't even drive tractors!
But if outsiders don't want to explore the delights of this area or use it as a short cut around what was obviously a typical motorway snarl up, that's their choice. Just trying to help fellow travellers avoid what was clearly a problem with the routes away from Hull is all - there is only 1 road that takes you out of Hull towards civilisation and as I know to my cost, that is a bloody nightmare when there's an accident or something
